Check out my latest sonic creation. Think of it as a culinary confection for your ear canals. Or a song. Yeah, its just a song.

Hey guys. This is an original tune that I wrote right here in Baltimore. I hope you can find time to take a listen and give me some feedback! Thanks!

This is an original tune that describes my musical personality. I like a little bit of everything, from Death Cab for Cutie (inspiration for the drums), to Young the Giant (lead melody), Dave Matthews (acoustic rhythm), Steely Dan (post-solo transition), Stevie Ray Vaughan (solo). As my father often says, "My mind is like a drunk monkey. It bounces from one thing to the next." Well, the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Eric Bain, solo performance at The Brewers Cask in Baltimore's Federal Hill tomorrow starting @ 8pm

Enjoy an evening of a solo performance at Federal Hill's newest HotSpot.  The Brewers Cask has been voted Baltimore's Best Beer Bar.  Emerging artist Eric Bain is a performer on the cusp of breaking into the scene.  He has spent many years fine-tuning his craft as a singer/songwriter.  One guy, one guitar and the stage.  Eric's musical perspective is a blend of: Alternative, Classic Rock and millenium Singer/Songwriter.    There is also a deeper, darker influence of Metal to add a touch of edge to his sound.  For more go to www.ericbain.com

Why not use this format to find your guitar buddy?  You may be surprised how many people can give basic instructions using Google +.  We used this for a beginners lesson a few times.  Post if interested.  This is an awesome way to learn without leaving your house.  Cam and Microphone would be necessary.

HANGING OUT WITH DOUG JACKSON & STREETJELLY.COM

Last Streetjelly performance I had 51 listeners stop by to listen, enjoy, tip etc.  Would love to best that by 49.....to make an even 100.   So, what do you say?  The majority of listeners were from Google +.  How AMAZING!

Point your browser to http://www.streetjelly.com and look for "Doug Jackson" (Hey! That's me!)

Remember to get there a few minutes early if you do not already have a streetjelly account and create one.

The After Party Hangout invite was going out to my entire fan-base before.  That will no longer happen.  Invites will only go to Google + fans that come to the show.  First nine to accept will be the party.  I will however post the link on the Google + event page, to the hangout, and you can try to get in, if someone drops out.

Thanks again everyone.....you guys/gals are great!

Hope to see you there, and thanks!

Sometimes it's hard to get a group of musicians together and play as band. Well, it's darn near impossible. But if you want to play in a band setting, what do you do? Well, you get some backing tra...

Hangdog at the 8x10 tomorrow starting at 7pm!
The Hangdog band got together in early 2010. With influences in rock and roll, rockabilly, blues, bluegrass, and even a touch of punk and country. The result is a good mix of originals and slightly obscure covers.  If you've ever enjoyed Nick's Wed Jams, come support Nick and the Band!  Gitonit! Getamungstit! Get rad with the Rad Trads! Lordamercy!
