If you are interested, the Write Out project will have its first live hangout tonight to talk about the connections between teachers and park spaces, and the power of mapping. You can view it right at the Write Out website starting at 7 p.m. est. A recorded version will be shared later. Well, it’s not a #gardenmap, but seems like it can fit the map category in my mind!

Today I'm thinking about vertical paths. Often I look down to see paths and maps, thinking about where our feet tread. Today I'm in the city and I'm thinking about the cranes and elevators and high rise buildings that divide the sky. The horizon is only visible through the buildings. The road is completely hidden from my elevated balcony. All that is left is a vertical map that gives me a touch of vertigo as I look. #writeout #clmooc #SliceOfLife

If you're in the US, how many of your schools had walkouts today to protest #gunlaws? Here's a SnapChat map showing Chicago area schools. Not sure if this is all. https://map.snapchat.com/@41.825937,-87.714927,9.86z
