A funding opportunity for proactive students of any discipline

Travel and adventure award
(formerly Sir Peter Holmes memorial award)

This enables a young candidate to travel to Asia, including the Middle East, to undertake research relating to the geography, history, politics, environmental conservation, culture or art of the area visited. The award is worth up to £1,000 and the winner receives two years’ free membership to the society.

Inaugural lecture by Joan Farrer, Professor of Design and Innovation, University of Portsmouth.
In this lecture Joan presents her design practice, which illustrates Design Thinking and Transdisciplinary working, where co-creation between disciplines and the user has been a necessary method to achieve Innovation.
