Over 30,000 names of German, Swiss, Dutch, French & other immigrants.

Is a good book to begin. It has some of my dad's paternal ancestors as well as his maternal ancestors.

Hello all, thank you for accepting me to the group. I am interested in NJ because my Great Grandmother was born in NJ. She passed away when my Grandfather (Robert John Sheehy) was just 8 years old. He never knew her side of the family. The family name is Rouane. It has been spelt many ways by my Uncles, Rowain, Rowan etc. My Great Grandmother was Viola Rowan Sheehy, she married Laurance (Lawrence Sheehy). They had children, Nora, Robert, Lester & Donald. All the children were taken in by family members. If anyone is researching this family please contact me. Thanks.

I am investigating a family myth regarding my grandfather.

The myth is that he was a stage coach driver and the route was from Freehold to Neptune to the New Jersey Highlands and then drove the return trip in reverse.

Looking to confirm the Stage route.
Owner of the coach line.
Starting and Ending destinations.
Time line.

Any suggestions to source material would be greatly appreciated.
