My name is Christine O'Connell.  I have had life long experience with horses and over 25+ years of working with people with special needs.

17 years ago, my Grandmother, Son and Daughter were in a head on collision.  My Grandmother was killed instantly, my Son received minor bruising from his seat belt, but my daughter which was on her knees in her seat belt was thrown out of her seat belt and suffered from DIFFUSE AXONAL INJURY (DAI), this is a severe form of Brain Injury.  Her prognosis was that she may at best be a vegetable for the rest of her life.  I prayed that I would get my daughter back, and that if I did, I would dedicate my life to helping others like Katie.

This is what I did.  I was blessed to have more than just getting my daughter back.  She has grown to be an amazing young lady.  She is 22 years old today, and does still have her issues, but is an inspiration to me everyday.

I have dedicated my life to providing Equine Assisted Activities to those with special needs.  We just celebrated our 13th year of service and are now a PATH Premier Accredited Center.

It is the will of God, the love of a mother, and the healing of a horse that has guided Katie though her recovery.
