Do you have an inner voice? I call my inner voice my "roommate" and it never seems to leave me and acts more like an inner critic or judge. In fact, you hear the voice all the time telling you why you’re not good enough or causing you to agonize because you think someone looked at you funny. Acknowledging your 'roommate' is very powerful. It brings a greater awareness to the judging element within us. It's time to evict that roommate!

We all have “voices” inside our head that are mean and make a bad situation worse. Here’s a few ways to turn these negative thoughts to positive ones. Acknowledge it’s presences, drown it with positivity, visualize what you want and say it out loud. If you wouldn’t let anyone else speak to you meanly, why would you accept it from yourself?

Labeling is a serious matter. The labels we use referring to our children eventually become the names they believe about themselves. Create their positive self-talk by avoiding negative labels.

I knew that I wanted to make a change, but felt completely stuck in the lifestyle that I had chosen for myself. When I brainstormed about what was preventing me from taking action, this is the list that I came up with:

• I procrastinate (fear based)
• I don't have the time
• How would I even start?
• It’s too late to change
• I have too many responsibilities
• I’m too old

It was then that I realized the only thing that was preventing me from making a change was a long list of limiting beliefs.
