I accidentally dropped my OnePlus One when i was cycling and then a car ran over it, The screen was shattered and the touch isn't working, the display still turns on though and the phone still works, still gives notifications to my Moto 360..so only the screen is broken..warranty asks 150 bucks to get it replaced

i went through ebay and found one for only 38 bucks included with the necessary tools to open up the phone..

is it recommended ?

thanks !!

i wouldn't suggest that, if it fails you will loose your 38 bucks as well as you have to pay another 150.

I've migrated to swapping my daily driver between the Nexus 6, M9, and SGS6. I love the M9, still prefer the stock Android of the N6, and love the display and camera on the SGS6. My secondary has been a swap between a Lumia 830 running Windows 10 and a BlackBerry Passport.

Community notice:
Recently, XperiaDroid was banned from PhoneArena, and came here to cry foul. However, this is above and beyond a temporary banning, because our records show that he is a troll with a few thousand posts and more than 10 registered usernames (xperiaDroid was only one of many). He has been banned multiple times, both by username and IP. He has received hundreds of warnings via email (the auto system message when we warn someone - 3 warnings = 1 week limited). He got limited a couple of weeks ago with a notice message saying that if he continue trolling, he will get banned. He was warned many, many times, but continued. He has been banned from this community as well.

So much hatred and trolling in all the recent articles PhoneArena has posted, it burns my butt and eyes. Seriously! Its not even healthy trolling/banter. Just calling out silly names and stuff which degrades the whole experience of visiting PhoneArena, reading and discussing in the comment section.

I don't think that just banning or limiting some users would help. I don't even know what would help in this situation. What are the views of writers and other fellow followers regarding this?

We have tried moderating. We've tried banning. We've tried reasoning. There really isn't anything more we can do. I'd say that if there is to be a change, those of you in the comment threads that hate the flame wars have to band together and change things. There are more of you than there are moderators.

Just remember: don't feed the trolls, make sure others don't feed the trolls, and support discussion and respecting the opinions of others.

Moto G - My battery's voltage reaches 4.3v after being charged to 85%. Is this safe? Cuz i read optimum is 4.2v. Will this make my battery to expand? Will shorten battery life? Any one got any solution?

Well, we're officially into the second half of the year. Which gadgets are you looking forward to? I'm actually intrigued about the OnePlus 2, though their continued "invite" thing is sure to draw my fury again. I'm interested in the Note 5, but don't think I'll be all that excited about it. TouchWiz just kills me. The Oppo Find 9 is high on my list because, as much as ColorOS rubs me the wrong way, there are some cool features to it. Of course, another Nexus will be at the top of my list as well. How about it gang?

I am running the newest JDX, version 16, with v3 of the Despair kernel, and it is speedier now...battery life is up in the air on this combo as I need more time of use, plus, I have previously been getting a large amount of miscellaneous battery usage, which makes the battery seem inefficient.

Anyone need an invite for oneplus one?
Since it's useless in my country i thought I'd share it with someone, rather than having it go to waste

Okay, so I'm pretty excited about the Nexus 6 and I expect I'll be ordering one as soon as it becomes available for pre-order. Anyone else?

Nope, because
-it's way too big, gonna have a hard time using it one-handed
-price too steep
-for the price I'd rather get an xperia z3

If i wanted a large phone might as well buy the nexus 9

So, just curious, has anyone here even looked at Amazon's Fire Phone?  I haven't seen one outside of John's review, but I was just curious.
