Suburban poverty boomed between 2000 and 2011. rising by 159 percent. Now, 88 percent of the region’s poor people live in suburbs. Many people live in the suburbs but how many of them are in poverty?

These kids are having to walk through garbage and in filthy allies to find a spot to sleep, which can sometimes be cheap and dirty motels. These things are happening in the suburbs.
