Focus on Income Producing Activity

- Share the product or service with new people

- Make follow-up calls
- Having home parties or bringing guests to team parties
- Pique their interest --> use a tool --> follow-up --> 3 way call
- Organizing your office and tools is NOT going to get you to the next level

Warm Market

- Be excited and transfer belief
- Amateurs convince; professionals sort
- Build a big list
- Take people from not knowing to knowing
- Come from your heart, tell your friends and family why you are doing this
- Give them an out, "It might not be for you"

Cold Market

- Be excited and be normal
- Build rapport first, find something in common and compliment them
- Be in a hurry, your goal is to pique their interest and get their information
- It's never ending so it doesn't matter if they say no, plus you will never see them again if they are a no
- They don't know you past
- Gives you easy practice
- Give them an out, "This may or may not be for you... "


- Show up. Period.
- Your team will do what you do
- Build relationships
- You will learn more about your products or services
- Will show you and your team the bigger picture
- Be a promoter

Getting Customers

- Have confidence
- Be a product or the product so you can share your personal story

Building a Team

- It takes 5-7 exposures before they commit
- The fortune is in the immediate follow-up
- Never convince people to join, you will be dragging them through the entire process
- Know the power of what you have to offer
- Operate from abundance
- Have fun and build life long relationships
- Be confident, prospects need to be certain they can win if they work with you

Helping Your Team

- The size of your paycheck is directly related to the size of the problems you are able to solve
- Work with the willing
- It is a lot easier to run with the new people on your team than bringing a cold distributor back to life
- Do not go into management mode, help your team by showing them the right activity
- Promote and celebrate teammates doing the right activity
- Be a mentor not a manager
- Inspire your team by leading from the front vs motivating your team by pushing them across the finish line

Using Tools

- Use your tools (videos, magazines, products) to share

- If your mouth is moving, you should be pointing to a tool

- Share and track the activity that moves your business forward
- Example: tracking new starts, home parties, distributors that fast start qualify
- Volume will not indicate where you business is going, it indicates where you have been
- Goes against your natural human instincts but it will take you out of your comfort zone
- Make your weekly goals public with a small accountability group and weekly phone call

Personal Management

- Develop a system of personal management (I use the David Byrd Planner)
- Plan you day before the day begins
- Put everything in your planner
- Be proactive vs reactive
- Do not rely on your instincts
- Never waste a day on ineffective choices
