Tonight!
Santa Rosaians: I'm teaching an intro Inkscape class at reMAKE education summit and need to do a rehearsal. Great for educators or people who just want to get started creating unique graphics that can be used with the laser or vinyl cutters. Tuesday July 11, 6-8, at the 180 Studio's computer lab. Let me know as I'm posting it soon on MeetUp.

Some good meet ups scheduled at 180 Studios this summer. Laser cutting and engraving, social BBQ, and hacking circuits. All free I think.

Is anyone going to the cardboard exploration at Pier 15 this Thursday? I'm going 😀

Sharing photos of my Maker club kids on our float in the Petaluma Butter and Eggs Day Parade- we worked hard on this big automaton toy. What cool collaborative projects are your kids making for the end of the year home stretch? #makered #collaboration #fun

What a wonderful evening of sharing and rich discussion around sound! Thank you everyone so much for making the trek out to Fairfax, and special thanks to our host Lisa Skinner for opening up her Invention Lab as well as showing off such inspirational engineering design challenges! So lucky to be working in an incredible collaborative community! Can't wait until we meet again in September!

Can't wait to see you folks tonight at White Hill! If you haven't already, please let us know you're coming with the Eventbrite link below.

Join us for an evening of exploration of using sound as a medium for design challenges. Interested in having your students create projects that involve sound, either electronically, physically, or both? Feel free to bring your own ideas and examples to share. Our discussion of sound will include both low-tech and higher-tech examples, including an Arduino instrument project from our host Lisa Skinner of White Hill's Inventors Lab. Snacks and a light dinner option will be provided. Feel free to invite other interested educators from the North Bay!
Sonoma county folks: remember the secret back road to Fairfax from Petaluma's D-Street!
Please let us know if you are planning on attending using the eventbrite link below so we can have enough food for everyone!
