My painting of Henry V (When still Prince Hal) at the Battle of Shrewsbury 1403.
Henry recieved a near fatal wound to the cheek at this battle. I spent a day photographing and sketching at the field Just north of Shrewsbury to get the background accurate. The coats of arms are accurate too and the poor fellow lying in the foreground is Sir Robert Mavesyn who died at the battle.
