Hi, I'm Sue from La Baie de Mont Saint Michel, Normandie, North Western France. I found your very interesting site via a comment made to my blog and am very interested to try your recipes in our versions of a slow cooker which use residual heat. If you are interested in how we make these cookers from scrap wood and cardboard, I include our link below. If any of you see a problem with using this method of slow cooking in any of the recipes, please let me know. For example, I can use the slow cooker to do most of the work in cooking a cassoulet but if I want the traditional version, with a crisp breadcrumb topping, I would finish it off in the wood-cooker. All the very best, Sue #slowcooker #hayboxes

My favorite fruit is Banana ,as Banana is not everyone's choice of fruit but I think this is a fuss free fruit ,as you can just peel and eat :-)
This is a Super Fruit as banana provides instant energy and a power to hit the weakness in our body. Having two bananas daily in your diet will prevent you from constipation as well as healthy stomach too.
This banana bread is very easy to make and does not need any fancy ingredients ,and you can store this bread for around 6 to 7 days in your refrigerator.

Hello!
Now the northern hemisphere is in autumn, there will be no doubt more recipes being added here.

Can I just draw your attention to the following please.

1.Keep hello's and intro's and question in the discussion section please. It makes it easier for people to see new members arrive.

2.Any spam, links to recipes NOT for slow cookers/slow cooking will be removed and the poster banned straight away.

3.Please use the sections to determine where you should post your recipe. This saves people clicking through to see what the main ingredient is and makes it easier to search recipes. The slow cooking section is ONLY for oven cooked meals, please don't add recipes to this section unless they are to be cooked in one.

4.Give some love to other members.+1 posts and share publicly outside the community.

Thank you very much for being part of this community and making it successful.

Hi everyone!
I have been popping in and out during the last few weeks and noticed there are a lot of non slow cooker or slow cooked recipe links being shared.
Please do not post recipe links to grilled or hob cooking please.I'll remove, report and ban anyone who does.
Please can you make sure discussion is used for asking questions or sharing tips.
Keep recipes in their relevant category, I'll be happy to make a new one if you have a recipe that doesn't fit to the present ones.
As autumn is upon us in the Northern hemisphere, I'm hoping the group will get more busier.I'm going through the links shared today to1+ them and share a few.

Thank you for being a part of this community.

Hello there!
I love my crock pots and would probably use them more often if I was feeding more than two people. I'm somewhat lazy and forgetful,  so I love any sort of cooking where I can just throw it together and forget about it until it's time to eat. I've also been known to extol the virtues of a slow cooker at the drop of a hat.

Like my father I've learned to cook good food because I like to eat good food.

Hello everyone,

My name is Francis, the cofounder of @FoodyHacking

———————————————————-
I just want to make things clear first: this is NOT a « spam » or an « auto-promotion » post! Your reply or message will be also useful for all the members of this group.
———————————————————-

We, at FoodyHacking, we want to deliver valuable and actionable content in terms of cooking tips, tricks and hacks.

The reason of this post is that I would like you to tell me:
 - What are your main « pain points » when you cook?
 - What aspects of cooking do you struggle with the most?
 - What would you like to know about cooking or things you wished you had known before?
 - Is there any topic that you find not well covered by cooking sites and blogs and you think would be beneficial for you and other home cooks?

Your answers are very precious for us as they will guide our content creation to address real issues that cooks like you have. You are also more than welcomed to send me suggestions and comments.

If you want to contact me directly, you can do so at francis@foodyhacking.com.

Thanks again…

Cheers

What's the best way to cook a 1.5kg brisket in the slow cooker? Do I need to cover in stock like I would if I was doing it in the oven?
