This is just the beginning...

I wrote my first Chromecast app. Send anything in your gallery to your TV via the standard share button. Images and movies (at full framerate). It works like magic.

Also looking at sending music and playlists.

I'll do a video later, but I'm not allowed to distribute the APK, as that is against the terms of use of the beta SDK for the time being.

So I've been watching the Liliputing space for a while now, but I am hesitant to pull the trigger on one of these small Android sticks. Is your data secure (Google Account info) or could it get siphoned off to some other party? Does Google build some protection into the software? Or could anyone mod Android to have a backdoor? I guess I could use a throwaway Google account, but that seems to defeat most of the purpose! I did some general searching, but I haven't seen anyone address this...What do you think?

If you get one of those, you'll more than likely want to put the great rom Finless onto it. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?3857-NEW-MK808-quot-all-models-quot-Finless-1-7

FatDog-Arm is a fork of Puppy Linux built to run on a mele-A1000 but can be adapted to run on other SOCs. I got it running on a Pandora Rebirth and another guy has it running on an OLPC XO-4.0.

With 4.1.1 can i do an easy busybox root or even a complex root? Rooting is of utmost importance and ICS is usually the key. Thanx!

Ok, after a while searching for a good, portable notebook (read: ultrathin/ultrabook), I think there is not one that I would really call "good", except /maybe/ the Toshiba z930.
Therefore, I tried making my old Acer 1810tz (see link) a little more bearable by replacing the hard disk with an SSD. The device used to be awfully slow.
With the SSD and after replacing the operating system with a new Arch Linux installation,
it feels blazingly fast, is very nice to work with except for the screen, which in my opinion really, really sucks. Otherwise, it is quite ok for me until some manufacturer comes up with a decent notebook.

The bootup time is about 17 seconds, and it shuts down in about 2 (!) seconds.

It improved, but not as much as yours.. probably because the UL20A only has a SATA II interface, so it couldn't take full advantage of the SATA III drive I bought.
