Hello, although it has been a while since my last post, it does not mean I have stopped development of tergum backup software, in the last few weeks and I re-designed and re-developed 70% of the initial code and increase the backup process streamline reducing the backup duration by an overall 10%. Also ported the whole data cache area into a database making accessing data reporting allot easier and quicker also. Keep an eye in this space and I'll keep you posted of my progress from time to time.

This made me laugh just now, I was watching the progress of files being backed up and saved and noticed that it reminded me of the old film The Matrix. Made a moving Gif but not sure it will work here.

So currently working on Build 042 where I am send the meta data with the confirmation of the file saved successfully and discovered another bug on two different occasions where after 130k files the port becomes not accessible so there will be some serious debugging happening on the next test shame it takes so many hours for it to start failing before I can see if I fixed it or not. But I will get there as this is all part of the fun. šŸ‘šŸ‘

Without giving too much away I am showing how I am using eclipse as my IDE to develop Tergum (backup) and how I am passing Arguments to the class without having to invoke it from command line :-)

Although this time I have nothing to really show for it as the last couple of days has only been about fixing a couple of bugs I knew was present and also improving in some of the poor loging I had implemented in previews builds.

But I am happy build 039 is now saved and make me ready to work on the next build unfortunately after several hours of testing I have already found several things I want to change and improve for the next build.

Build 0.3.8 although all very basic and still only command line (for now) as I find it more important working on the core than a GUI at this moment in time, I have made some more progress today, as I have run the first full backup of my laptop using tergum.ļ»æ
