Interesting couple of sentences at the end of the article.

Scorpions players might want to keep one eye on front-office personnel.
“We are going to hold the players accountable too,” Cornfield adds.

Sounds like if a player isn't performing, then they might be let go immediately. I hope that this begins to burn a fire under the players and helps them to now compete at a higher level.

Via Twitter: Scorpions President Howard Cornfield announced that the club has relieved Head Coach, Tim Hankinson of his duties effective immediately. Scorpions Assistant Coach, Alen Marcina, has been named as the interim Head Coach. Tim is a quality coach and person, however, the team has not played to the level our organization and fans expect,” said Cornfield. “Our goal is to compete for the championship and this team is far too talented to be where we are right now," said Cornfield. We sincerely thank Tim for getting Scorpions soccer off to a great start, and for his dedication to Soccer for a Cause," said Cornfield.

So here is a more in depth article with some quotes over Hankinson's sacking.

So once again, we lost. No less to 91' goal by the F**King Cosmos. It takes us going a man down to a red card just to start showing some moments of brilliance? Thats just terrible. Very disappointed.

I think you need a subscription to the Express News (print or digital) to read this article. The brief summary is that Gordon Hartman will only increase capacity of Toyota Field up to 18,000 when demand grows. But as MLS more or less requires a stadia of around 18,000 or more, will we ever get there?
Mike Golub, chief operating officer of the Portland Timbers told Express News that we should be proactive in obtaining an invitation to MLS and attendance will grow.
Seems almost like a chicken and the egg question to me, but I feel we should negotiate with MLS for expansion by 2020 and when that contract is written up, then we can upgrade the stadium regardless or the current state of crowd attendance.
What do y'all think about this, do you think San Antonio could support an MLS team with good attendance? Will we upgrade the stadium first or will a bid be accepted first? (Hope we get into MLS expansion talk)

So... we're are back to familiar territory, bottom of the table once again. Not to say we didn't have chances, but they lead to nothing. What ya'll think about being at the bottom of the table and the similar slow start to the fall as the previous spring season?

The Scorpions have partnered with +MetroPCS ! They will be at Fan Fiesta and have a special promotion at Toyota Field.
