Does anyone have experience in taking mo-cap data and then transferring it to models I just started and planning things out in a frame, is what I am planning...
Is it possible to say take information that is public domain and then use it effectively to make animations with models or is it easier to hand animate and build the models and then animate or to build the models around the animation information for a quicker execution of animated models...
I'm thinking of doing game mods and also indie game stuff and amateur fan films for things like hard sci-fi but not fantasy...
I took a summer course and learned what the interface and the technology requirements were an then I got a good enough computer to use for modeling and also I got a stable enough computer to do file storage for progressive work, I would use either Blender or Maya for it and I am a competent draughtsperson and or either draft and conceptual artist and all I really need to know from other people is the concept of using mocap to speed up the process of animation relevant or do you hve to compromise around the animated and captured info in relation to the detail or geometry that you are trying to project with your model...
Example of something I trying to turn into a digital representation through 3d modeling...
