This is one of the best Veins things I've read. Detailed adventure location with great NPCs and monsters.
Presenting the first part of a dungeon in four pieces: The Domain of the Old Army in the Goldsoul Mines. For use with Veins of the Earth or Lamentations.

"Every adventure should have something unique about it that matches the flavor of the Devoured Land Veins of the Earth. What connection might a stone immune to magic have to the murder of circling crows and the ruins of the old watchtower? Create a web of hidden connections to tie together what you already have and place the signs of trouble where the party is likely to run into them." — from Zak's new book.

You can help me make such a table for the Veins of the Earth, because that sort of thing is fun, and I think it might be useful.

I'm working on a Veins of the Earth-inspired hexcrawl. You can find all the scattered draft bits here: https://coinsandscrolls.blogspot.ca/search/label/Veinscrawl

For anyone who hasn't already thought of this, here's another way to do Veins 3D Overview maps. Dark hexes are top-down, light hexes side-on.

I want to see more cross-sections and profile views, and realistically chaotic caves in dungeon maps. Toward that end, here's a first pass and probably unusably simulationist cave passage generator, utilizing a walking hex table (which I was exposed to by +Daniel Sell) for anyone who wants to trudge through +Patrick Stuart's Veins of the Earth or any old cave in high-def.

Speaking of high-def spelunking, anyone interested in what it's actually like (and hasn't had the luck to go wild caving first-hand) could do worse than subscribe this this fellow's Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF32GJybOK0
