I love Valentine’s Day! It’s sort of a delightful added measure in an extremely difficult trifecta I’ve place myself in. You see, Valentine’s Day is on February 14th—the very day I proposed, my wife's birthday is on February 18th, and we were married on March 20th. Being the typical male, I struggle with making sure I never fail in genuinely acknowledging these pivotal dates. Trifecta indeed, yeah? Below I’ve attached our engagement evening—Valentine’s Day—February 14, 2009. I pulled out all the stops for the love of my life purely to see her smile that lovely smile she smiles.

IT’S REALLY A BEAUTIFUL STORY . . .

Prior to one Christmas morning, I planned it all out and fancied it would go just fine. A limo was rented, a helicopter shopped, I had a plan that was surely tops. Her diamond was chosen with every precaution took, her band sized with precision and grace. We soared the skies at 300 feet at a relatively somber pace. Surely a proposal was planned that I knew she'd never forget, but for all my planning, for all that tedious shit, low and behold, the proposal bold, the ring did not fit. I fell in love with her even further that night when she dawned that patented smile; as my soul was sinking she reacted rather quickly and said "honey, place it on my pinky". She is the rarest gem to me, the best choice I ever made in my life, this said with crystal clarity. I must admit, though the ring did not—WE—most surely fit.
