Suggestion: Have the "choose file" & "deep dream" next to eachother instead of overlapping.

If you're uploading, then hit "back," then try to click on "choose," the page finishes loading & adjusts upwards, causing you to hit "deep dream" if you're timing is off, resulting in duplicate uploads.

The amount of "selfies" uploaded...humanity is doomed.

I'm breaking up the selfie apocalypse uploads. Hopefully people will be more inspired to try avant garde fashion, abstract paintings, landscape photography, surreal/fantasy/sci-fi art, & optical illusions/magic eye posters when they see examples of how much better they turn out than pictures of people.

Edit: I am seeing a lot more non selfies lately, but the selfies will not be stopped.

I still haven't received my deep dream pics and have been waiting close to two months. Where do I go to receive them?

Running 3 instances of the 'Deep Dream Web Interface' virtual machine. 12 cores, 12GB of ram.  Overall , processing about an image a minute.

Hi guys!

Gave the network some food, too.
Guess it wasn't hungry but still yearns for a puppy so bad! ;-)

I would love to use this program with my High School students.  There are some inappropriate images being uploaded.  Is there a chance you could put the link to upload a photo on a different page than the images people have created.  I don't have the ability to install the program on the computers because I do not know if the images will appear after I download.

I have been experimenting here...and this is the result...!
Question: What was the image size (how many) of the data set used to train the app ? And Is the training ongoing...?

The Naked and Sex pics turn out really scary, I guess they are often removed but I think they are the coolest ones.

I think it would be nice to have the VM auto-login a log-viewer user so we could see what it was doing. Doesn't have to be fancy (Though if someone built a tracking app that keeps track of statistics, that would be awesome!).
What do you think?

This concept is the secret behind the Voynich Manuscript, an undecipherable book from over 600 years ago - I believe.

http://beinecke.library.yale.edu/collections/highlights/voynich-manuscript
Written in Central Europe at the end of the 15th or during the 16th century, the origin, language, and date of the Voynich Manuscript—named after the Polish-American antiquarian bookseller, Wilfrid M. Voynich, who acquired it in 1912—are still being debated as vigorously as its puzzling drawings ...

I have processed an image 4 times,  there is very little difference between the 3rd and 4th image.  So I have rotated the image 90 deg to see if that will add new variance.  I think it might because most of time images found in the deep dream are up the right way,  ie dogs have ears on the top, legs at the bottom, eyes above noses...   I guess that has something to do with the rules of the dream.

What have others done to effect their deep dream images or has anyone else tried image rotation or image flipping?

So I got my tests back,  the 180 flips didn't add much but the 90 deg rotate did.

is there a github or other repository for your script and/or vm ?
Or do just ask the questions here ?

for example:
what is the purpose of the 'h' parameter passed to deepdream.py from within the script deepdream.sh.  I do not see any sys.argv[1] or related within deepdream.py

my current goal is to determine why my vm is dropping threads.  I have 4 core vm but after awhile it will only run on 3 or less cores.  If I reboot or rerun deepdream.sh then I am back up to 4 threads.

You are leaving processing ability on the table when this happens.  I am not sure if this is a common issue or if it is related to how my VM is setup.  I set the vm up with 4 cores and 4gb of memory.  the host has 4 cores and 8gb of memory and mostly idles except for the use of the deepdream vm
