Just sharing a Hangout we did on Monday for Connected Educator Month. Also wanted to show the feature I like the best about the instant upload in YouTube. I could quickly go into the description and index it into sections. I started doing this based on a request from a viewer who told me she easily had time to watch 10 or 15 minutes during a break but she wished there was some way for it to be indexed or put into smaller pieces. We'll be doing a Hangout each Monday at 8 pm ET for Connected Educator's Month and then we will probably be using the links for professional development throughout the year.
Metagame Book Club Hangout with Tom Vander Ark from Getting Smart. He joined a panel of ISTE Games and Simulations members, Marie Bjerede, Tanya Martin and Trish Cloud to discuss the new book Smart Parents for Powerful Learning. The group discussed the inspiration for the book, personalized learning and why it is important to parents and where does the maker movement and game based learning fit in.
These events are all part of the Mobile Learning Network’s Monday Mini-Conference for Connected Educator Month October 2015.
