I teach grade 5 in Canada. I would like to keep my location secret to add more suspense to the hangout. Smart board is down right now, but I would love to connect in a couple weeks when it is up and running

Hello from Brazil. I'm looking for classes that meet on Saturdays. I have small English classes on Saturdays and it's usually hard to meet other teacher to connect with their students on Saturdays. Feel free to contact me at athalorc@gmail.com.

I am a technology integrationist in Iowa, CST. I am working with a group of 5th grade teachers that are going to be starting the story, "Shiloh" . They are planning to start on Monday, Sept. 26th. The time that they plan to do the story is anywhere from 8:30-10:45 CST in the mornings. They are new to Google Hangouts as well as anything online involving collaboration, so this will be a new experience for them, but they are game for anything. I will be providing support for them in the classroom, etc. Please let me know if this will work for any of you by emailing me at: sharris@woodbine.k12.ia.us Thank you. :)

About this community

This is a community for educators who are using Google Hangouts in their classrooms. My hope is that this becomes a hub for teachers to connect, collaborate, and discuss how they are using Google Hangouts to enrich the learning experiences of their students. Consider including your educational connection in your bio (school district, etc.).

Reading The BFG for Global Read Aloud starting on October 3rd with a small group of 2nd and 3rd graders for gifted enrichment. Looking for a 2nd or 3rd grade class to connect with throughout the #GRA16 project.

I'm looking for a Canadian classroom to do a Hangout (or Skype if that better for you) with my 7th grade class. We will be starting discussion on the regions of Canada next week. We are in northern Missouri and have class from 9:00-9:40 am. My students think it would be really cool to discuss how our climates are different, especially with students that live in the areas we discuss. I'm hoping to find an English speaking classroom in every region of the world this year!

Hi,
I am a grade 6 teacher in a northern Alberta school. We would be interested in hanging out with you. Our current science unit is trees and forest so maybe we could discuss with you climates and how that affects the forests in our areas?
my e-mail address is hknowles@hpsd.ca
Thanks,
Hannah

+Xavier Flores oh OK. I've been talking with some teachers in Spain and may be doing some special show times that would fit your school schedule. I'll try to remember, but the best way to find out about new shows is to get on our email list or keep an eye on our event page at www.learnaroundtheworld.com/events
