I had an incredible lucid dreaming experience during a nap today. Fun and amazing and easy, surprisingly.

I have previous lucid dreaming results but only got so so results, typically with a lot of negativity no matter what I did.

I got the app 8 days ago. I'm using every method but this time I used the WILD technique. I slept for six hours, went to work for 2 hours then laid down for a 1 hour nap.

I entered sleep paralysis quickly and stayed calm for the first time in my life. I began picturing my girlfriend, forming her out of moving dark shapeless lumps. I consciously rejected all false images until she appeared, beautiful, smiling, and nude.

She vanished quickly but reappeared frequently. The fact that I kept hearing her voice helped and she would kiss me in my sleep which connected to dream actions.

I was conscious for a long time and I could hear EVERYTHING. I had many dreams. I set my app to ding during my nap and I heard the dings. Sounds that were too loud disrupted the cloud of reality that I was experiencing.

It was an amazing experience. I learned a lot from my previous mistakes. I'm keeping a journal now and I never forget my reality checks because of the app. I've read a lot on the subject, but never on my phone before bed because it decreases lucidity.

Also don't try meeting someone that you don't know. If you haven't shared an experience with them or see them how you wish to the dream will dissolve and fail.

If you fly don't go fast, the dream will end. Fly above the ground slowly or through the clouds fast. The scene must be able to repeat or it will fail.

You can also summon anyone by reaching out into the dream, grabbing a phone, and dialing in some numbers. Speak their name and they shall appear. Be careful though - your subconscious is in charge and if you pick the wrong person or do the wrong thing with them it will fail, or worse, get into a scary loop.

Good luck guys!!!!

Hi im a beginner just learned about lucid dreaming, and I want to try WILD, I'v read articles and stuff but one question I have is if I can do it on a school night? Or can it be on a day I sleep till like 12pm? Im making this because I read that I need to have a a bit of sleep, then wake up by alarm, and then start lucid dreaming from there. Can someone tell me if Im correct on what I have to do?

also, yesterday I tried lucid dreaming, and I was still trying but I was just thinking in my head, and out of no where my whole body starts vibrating and my eyes are moving so fast I almost couldn't keep them shut, does that mean I was about to go into lucid dreaming?

thanks

Only because you spoke of the body buzzing I will say that is how any OBE I've had began. I still don't know what to do in them. Treating them like a lucid doesn't work for me. Can't do the finger through palm test, go through walls... and they are short lived.

I think I'm lucky enough to lucid dream without even doing reality checks.(Believe, I had two astral projections moments in my lucid dreams) But I am scared to take control of the dream even though i am aware of my dream. I let my screenplay of my dream on its own and start enjoying the vividness and details of that fabulous world. I feel colors, audio hallucinations, water splashes, buzzing bees and piercing yellow sun rays; i even read some text/numbers through my dream. The time when I held control of it, the pleasure is reduced to an extent where the vividity goes unenjoyably down.
Do anybody feels the same?
Is my narration power is so poor? or
Should i sit back and relax with whatever happens in my dream?
:(

I have journals full of lucids where I didn't control a thing but enjoyed them like a best new drug. Not so much luck when I set an intention. I've heard that is because my ego takes over. I don't know.

+Pizza Bot epicness that's a good start, often it's easier to become lucid if you are viewing things from the outside. Tell yourself when awake that when you notice yourself in the third person, to do a reality check

Hi guys! Can anyone help with the below? I do regular reality checks, and get lucid very often.

Here is my experience from earlier today..
This one was amazing. Was very tired anyway, and was able to create a dream whilst trying to go to sleep, and entered the dream, thinking it was real life. It was actually a girl who I haven't met yet, but have been introduced to online, and had juat been speaking to her on messenger service.

I don't realise I'm dreaming, but I check my watch, and realise that yippee, actually I am dreaming, and manage to leave my sleeping body, walk to one of the walls in the house, and then try and put my band through it. Of course I could, and then continued my lucid travels . I love jumping through walls or Windows or off massive cliffs, as I know there's no risk.

I was able to spin around a lot, and maintain lucidity for quite some time, but did lose it a few times, but was able to easily slip back into the same setting each time.

My focus here was to see an ex girlfriend, and have find her. I was having trouble with character creation. I tried a few techniques, like saying to myself, OK she is next door, I will go there and see her.... But was unable to generate her... Until later when I briefly did, I was basically just really concentrating on believing that I was able to. I jumped through the kitchen window, and ran down the garden, whwre I believed I could find her waiting for me. As I was running down the garden, I realised it was dark, (I am not fully in control of the dreamscape clearly, but maybe it helped me form a brief image of her....and I did see her, briefly, laying down with a hat on, where I thought she would be. But then her face turned to someone elses... And I sort of moved my attentions elsewhere.

At this point, I started to be more aware that I was probably more awake thst asleep, and was experiencing sleep paralysis, and false awakenings, constantly checking my watch and it showing completely random times (my most common reality check)

.... I have had this many many time, the lucidity, but never with the sleep paralysis state aswell, and then have been able to turn this into an OBE.(I used the imagining pulling my self up with an imaginary rope, I've read this is a common method) ... I have to say, it felt like the most powerful feeling. I was able to imagine lifting myself out of my body, and decided to melt through the ceiling into the room above. I did this a few times and have found it to be extremely pleasurable feeling, which is very hard to describe..

What happened here, and how can I improve character generation, and turn sleep paralysis more, into that amazing lofting, lifting, levitating type feeling. Is it really just about embracing the paralysis and letting yourself go? As that can be Scary, but I know it's not dangerous ... Does anyone have any ideas on the above map??

Thank you all!!

Bertie

I'm new to the community and lucid dreaming. I’ve never had a LD and I've been trying to induce one for the past few days. I became interested in LD because I have intense sleep paralysis and I would like to control it. Ever since the first time I tried I haven't been able to get to sleep. I first tried the WBTB method where I set an alarm to go off in the middle of the night to make me conscious but not awake. I believe it almost worked but I woke up to turn off the alarm. Now I'm trying relaxation methods, binaural beats and hypnosis, because I feel super anxious and every time I drift off, I wake up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please help. I have a question. Yesterday I had my fisrt lucid dream. Well kind of. I was at some point in the dream and something didn't seem right so I asked myself "wait, could this be a dream?" and i slowly took out my hands off my pockets and looked at them. The reality check DIDN'T work though. The reality check I've been doing is looking if I'm wearing a ring on my middle finger (which I always wear), if it's there I'm awake, if not I'm dreaming. Thing is, in my dream the ring was there so I thought "Oh...I'm not dreaming". I didn't count my fingers or pay attention to my hands in general, just looked if the ring was there (and it was). When I woke I realized it was dream indeed. Concluding, I've come to realize that since my clothes stay on while I'm dreaming, then the ring would stay on too. So... I've been doing it wrong this whole time?? right?? why didn't the reality check work? or is this reality check not effective? since i clearly saw that I had a ring on my finger. Thank you

You're doing great. This is only your first lucid dream and it gave you a wonderful lesson to learn from. Reality checks are something you need to perform that is likely to give you an IMPOSSIBLE result in a dream. Such as breathing through closed nose, pulling a finger in a direction you physically would not be able to take it, seeing numbers and clocks do what they never do in real life.
It's not hard to change reality checking habits and learn new ways. You may be comforted to know that your dream self learns as you learn from these experiences, so next time it will be different! Keep it up!

David, I loved reading your experiences!

I've been taking L-Glutamine 500 mgs 3 times a day now for about two weeks now. I think my dreams are returning. Simi lucid ones. I did flowers for a wedding last weekend, and during the week I had a dream where I was frantically trying to do these flowers. In the dream I wondered why I was dreaming about these flowers when they are already done. So, progress made!

Had mi second lucid dream. It's funny because I kinda gave up and stopped logging my dreams but now it happens after several months of drought.
I was with a girl friend in a bedroom and she was sitting in bed. I don't know why but I suspect it's a dream so I try to count my fingers. That confirmed my suspicions since my fingers are mutating and mixing in a swirl. The scene then freezes. I see my friend sitting and I decide to overlap my self with her, I make it and occupy her same space.
I then start walking in what looked like a palace with big marvel columns and try another reality check: with my right hand I try to penetrate my left hand. Didn't work. I think I dreamed I woke up after and don't remember much...

Is it possible this was me dreaming of having a lucid dream or it was just a straight lucid dream? Can you dream of dreaming?
