Uncovered how to go to Pulse and elect the Influencers, Channels and Publishers you wish to follow. Go to the bottom of your profile, click "Discover More". Bingo! Why oh why is this hidden in such an inconspicuous location??

Do you think engagement in LinkedIn groups has declined over the past couple of years? If so, why?

Hi +Fred McMurray in the end it is how people act. So the blatant promotional posts. The posting without interacting. That is people. Sure LinkedIn made it harder to moderate the group. It is tricky that as an owner we no longer get notifications. But hey, just cos there are no speed camera's on a road doesn't mean I don't think the driver has a responsibility not the speed.

Employees get 2x higher CTRs from their LinkedIn shares compared to their official company shares of the same content. Employee word-of-mouth is your best sales tool.
We all know that word of mouth is one of the most - if not the most - valuable form of marketing, right? All the studies back this up – 92% of people trust recommendations from friends and family, abo

I am old fashioned ... I always personalise but do so from webversion of LinkedIn instead of the app.

Social media is funny and fluent. For a while Google+ was the most active, hence these communities had a lot more interaction than LinkedIn groups. Now it seems for interaction Facebook Groups are the place to be. If you like to talk all stuff LinkedIn, be my guest. https://www.facebook.com/groups/linkedintipspetrafisher/

You know LinkedIn is not Tinder, right? Just in case you wonder why I am asking you do you know LinkedIn is not Tinder? I recorded a LIVE video last Sunday in my Facebook group with some great tips (if I say so myself) about the difference between LinkedIn and Facebook and what not to do as LinkedIn is not Tinder.
I tell you, both tips are NOT what you think! :-)
Well, it is 6 minutes of me rambling on. No script, no editing, and the people that watched seem to find the tips quite useful.

If you want to see it, it only takes a little bit of scrolling right here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/linkedintipspetrafisher/

Can't miss it really, as I am wearing a bright green shirt.
Love to welcome you in that group, where interaction is really happening.

OK, I'm just a little, well not a little excited.  I'm very very very excited.  My first pickup in Pulse!!  Why this post (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/linkedin-button-change-you-should-know-ira-bass) got placed in the Software Engineering Channel is whole 'nother story but I'm like one gigantic kid right now!!!

Here's a new one for you!  Working with a client today and noticed his summary looked very long.  I did a character count and it was 2,240.  The limit is 2,000.  I asked how he did it.  Simple he said.  He never deleted the Specialties listing from the old summary format.  Apparently that does not count against the character count!  When I conducted the same character count without his Specialties, sure enough it came in under 2,000.  Who knew??!!

Well, I knew, but he didn't tell you that, once you update your Summary, LinkedIn REMOVES the Specialty area by default. So... he hasn't updated hiw Summary in AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS!
