Yeah, it's hard for non-Japanese children to learn Kanji.
So, is there any solution?

Of course, there is always a way๐Ÿ˜Š

My son uses this app because it shows the meaning of Kanji with 3 languages.

Japanese public primary school
2nd grade

My boy needs to write a diary once a week. It is his homework. Today, he saw a book which was borrowed at a library and he looked at one picture of it and he chose it as the diary subject.

It was about a gasoline engine.

It obviously looked difficult for him to understand and I needed help him.

It was difficult to me, too!

I read it with him though he didn't know all meaning of words because he needs to improve his Japanese vocabulary(He goes to Japanese public primary school).

After that I searched about it on YouTube and found good videos.
Yeah, videos show well how gasoline works and we could understand better.

Which model do you actually belong in?

According to the article, our case is in 2.Non-dominant home language (one language, one environment).

My family speaks Korean language and watches Japanese TV shows at home, so we sometimes mix both languages.

My son goes to Japanese public school and he speaks Japanese fluently the most.

He also can communicate with Korean relatives who can't speak Japanese but he uses baby words and it seems that he stays at age 4.

About English, he can understand only simple phrases.

And you?

Do you think learning manners is a lifelong education? When is good time for children to start it? When was it your children(child) started learning manners?

In my case, I told my boy about table manners when he was around 1 year old and I tried to do it seriously after he was 3 years old.

Now, he is 7 years old and he seems to get it seriously. He had terrible table manners until recently.

I want to tell everyone I'm not a Japanese English specialist. If someone finds mistakes, please leave a comment.

I felt someone called me

the sun was sinking round and round.

Yes, Japanese is the most difficult subject to my son because I'm not a Japanese. I'm trying to study with him and he needs a lot of help when he does Japanese subject homework.

We usually use a tablet for searching the meaning of vocabularies.

After reading the poem, I wanted to know how he understood it. He drew a picture about the poem.

Yeah, he is not an artist ๐Ÿ˜…
