Congratulations everybody! I'm so happy for you all! I tested into math 82... I was upset at first but I'm just trying to think about it in a positive way. At least I improved from 81 to 82. Plus taking math 82 is probably what I personally need to prepare me for college level. Evan, thanks so so so much for all of your help and support. You are a wonderful teacher and I hope I have you again sometime in my college journey! Thank you ALL for being awesome people!!! Good luck to everybody in everything you do! I wish you all the best :) Bye byes

FCC Math Refreshers...Looks like we have all made good progress on our accuplacer exams and you should be very proud of yourselves, it is well deserved and earned through the hard work you have all put into this venture. Please continue to keep me posted on your progress and let me know if you need any help in any of your math courses. Enjoy the holidays and thank you all for your efforts and commitment to this process.
Evan Evans

I scored 105 on the first part of the test (need to score over 64). On the College level I scored 62(need over 45). I was one point away from scoring into precalculus so the lady in the testing center said I could try again, I said no thanks!!! I was just glad I scored into college level. Thanks for all your help.

I took the test this morning also (I saw Steve in there).  I also placed out of 81.  I felt good about that portion.  I fell short of testing out of MA82 by 3 points, but I will study some more and try again in the coming weeks. From a timing perspective it took me 2 1/2 hours to complete both.  And just so you know what to expect... it is 2 separate tests.  Math 1, which has 12 questions.  The second is 20 questions, and asks a combination of what we covered, along with pre-calc, and calc stuff.  I don't know what to suggest, but to study what we covered.

Good Luck, Alexa and Sarah when you take it.
Thank you, Evan for the work that you did with us.  I couldn't have come this far without it.

All... I found some additional practice tests for the accuplacer test at Montgomery College's website... http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/Departments/math/placement/placetest.html
