Hi everyone and belated Happy New Year!

As some of you know, my company is launching a totally new email marketing platform. Some of you may think, does the world really need another email platform.

We think so. It's fundamentally different. We've spent over 4 years working on making enterprise email marketing tech as simple as using an iPhone.

Now, we'd love your feedback.

I have about 10x $30 Amazon Gift Cards that I'd like to give if you're an email marketer and would be gracious enough to give me your feedback on what we've done.

Email at parker@parkerati.com and I'll be in touch.

So while this Inc. article is timely, it's a bit short on anything new. However, there are two points that I thought were worthy enough to repost:

1) Always use an email address that you can correspond from. We send all of our mailings from one of our team members actual addresses. Replies are directly routed to them. Something always good comes into our INBOX from a mailing we do and the personalization despite it being a mass mailing can't be underestimated.

If you're worried about your address making it out into the Interwebs, then simply create an alias or a Google Group for the reply-to address. If you don't know how to set these in your email software, let me know.

2) Humor. Simply put -- use it... we're all swamped with the same boring, cookie cutter stuff cluttering up our inbox. Stand out from the crowd by using humor, and in time, people will start to look for your emails in their crowded inbox full of crap.

In the early days, Groupon was known for their funny stuff, hiring teams of creative writers. It helped launch the company as many of us loved reading the deals more than buying them.
