In 2016 we're looking to make the Creative Social Media Community a high-quality place to interact with and engage with peers and fellow social media enthusiasts.

To meet that goal, we will need to be strict about what kinds of content we allow to be posted. We will be banning and reporting spammers without hesitation.

We're not going to make it complicated to post, so just follow this one rule:

Be relevant and thoughtful in what you post to this community.

What does that mean?
- Make sure your post has to do with this community
- Post in the proper categories
- Your post should be longer than a tweet
- No affiliate promotions, MLM, or soliciting of any kind
- Your post should invite conversation not just click-throughs
- Be helpful, inquisitive, conversational and open to feedback

Creating a cohesive social media presence that drives brand equity across multiple platforms takes intentionality and planning. I've gone through and listed everything I thought was relevant to making this happen.

One of the most important tips though is this:

You could have a downright crappy profile picture, poorly branded website and a lame bio but if you're consistently sharing targeted content that meets your audience's needs/wants, and you'll win.

Hey everyone, I'm making a call out to all you savvy social media enthusiasts to see if we can make this feature high on Buffer's priority list.

Since +Buffer just recently released the ability to share to +Google+ profiles, I think it would be awesome if they took it one step further and supported Collections.

Why is it so important that Collections are supported?

Google is making some big bets on its Collections feature. Over the past year they've made sure that it is successful by giving Collections posts a boost in the Home feed above and before Public posts. At +Steady Demand we've tested this to be true: Collections posts get far greater reach and drive far more follower growth than posts that are just Public.

So to all my social media manager friends out there who both USE +Buffer and understand the power of best Google+ practices, please vote for that feature!
