We would like to invite you to participate in this year's IE Challenge Competition, open to students in grades 6 - 12.

What: The IE Challenge is a fun, interactive game-based competition that allows students to apply components of industrial engineering as they design the facilities layout and hire the necessary personnel to keep an amusement park running efficiently.

Deadline to register - February 9, 2018
Digital entry - must be submitted by March 2, 2018
Final stage of competition - April 7, 2018 at the University of Arkansas

Why: Learn about engineering concepts in a fun, game-based format. Collaborate with a partner to win prize money and trophies. Receive a tour of the Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas.

The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) recognizes women in high school for their achievements and aspirations in the field of technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions.

The Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) as the Arkansas Affiliate of NCWIT is now accepting applications for the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award. This is an amazing opportunity for any of your female students interested and involved in technology. Students can apply online at http://bit.ly/AiCHSAward beginning September 1, 2017.

The deadline for accepting applications is 11:59 p.m. EDT on November 6, 2017. Students at all levels are encouraged to apply: NCWIT recognizes aspirations as well as accomplishments!
