As an Educational Technologist, I have found that there is a greater and greater need to teach students not only technical skills but soft skills like organization and goal-setting so I have started working on a series of professional development sessions targeted at meeting students needs. The latest is "Bonkers for Bullet Journals" which I delivered to MS students a few weeks ago.
I hope this is okay to share and I am super curious to know if there are other people and districts experiencing this similar trend.

Last week I did a parent webinar on Note-taking strategies and best practices.... Thought I would share. Would love to know if you are doing something similar and/or if you have anything you would add to this topic/session.

The blog post that accompanies the webinar is here: https://techchef4u.com/2017/10/how-do-you-organize-your-digital-binder/

Sharing tips and the slide deck we used for teaching digital citizenship (e.g. social media and cyberbullying) and digital executive functioning skills (e.g. managing digital distractions and digital organization). I would love to know if anyone is doing something similar and what tools and ideas you are sharing. Thanks in advance.

Just Finished the "Do's and Don'ts of Slide Design for Students" and would love feedback on the resource and infographic. Anything I missed or that needs tweaking?

Just finished a PD session for our Counselors. They were looking for apps, tools, and resources to design flyers, presentations, and posters as well as ramp up communications with students and parents. I have put together all of the tips, apps, and links here... Would love to hear about what tools your counselors are using too!   #counseling   #counselors

Hi everyone,

My district is interested in finding out how other schools are approaching BYOD. Do you have specific rules and procedures for implementation? Do those devices include cell phones?

If you have a BYOD policy and AUP that addresses BYOD in your district, could you please share it with us?

Thank you so much.
