About 18 months ago I made little Valkyrie needle cases. Originally, I had planned to make a pattern and sell it. Then I realized that I might sell one or two, but eventually it would be copied and that would be the end of any sales. so I didn't bother. Then I got a request about a week ago.

I finally made a pattern for them.

Yesterday we were at Aarquelle's Baronial Defender. It's an SCA event. Fae Evans and I were autocrats. This event is to choose the new Defenders of Aarquelle. Heavy and Rapier fighters, Archery, Arts & Sciences and Bardic. We had a lunch and an evening feast, and this event was held up at Pueblo Mountain Park. It is the same place we hold Viking Vinter Vunderland.

I received an award, Order of Osorio's Heart. It's a service award. :) Then, at the last minute, I competed in the Bardic contest and told the story of the Frost King. Much to my surprise, I won! I now hold the honor of the Grammar Hammer.

We are back from our SCA vacation. :) Battlemoor VIII was great. Hectic at times for +Aaron Harper, who was First Aid, bur still a wonderful event. Battlemoor was held in Buena Vista this year, and the six days were simply not enough.

While we were there, there was a medical emergency that Aaron worked that earned him an award from Their Majesties in gratitude. For chivalry and gallantry, he was awarded Companion of the Legion of Gallantry.
