Hey there,

Hope everyone had a nice Eid celebrations with their families and friends.. Personally, I couldn't celebrate a lot. I made a nice dinner and a cake for my family to enjoy, but I wouldn’t say, that I felt sort of uplifted and nice. Actually, I felt quite bad and guilty for having even this small celebration because I kept remembering all those poor people, who are not able to mark this occasion. For them these 3 days of celebration was same as always – heads filled with worries and sadness, stomachs growling from hunger and the heartache reminding, that they’re still forgotten by the world..
Donations money will be delivered there just tomorrow, and I was hoping that they could get in in time for Eid, and that made me upset even more. But I guess later is better than never, innit? And I cannot stop thinking, that winter is coming so fast and it will make it even harder for those poor people to survive.. I want to keep going, keep collecting donations, keep collecting warm clothing, but sometimes it looks as I had a short-term success and then it finished. And I don’t know, will I be able to repeat that. But I am not loosing hope and I am not giving up so quick.
I will start learning knitting next week, and if I will get the hang of it, I will make sure that most of those poor children will have at least a pair of warm socks each for this winter. It’s just that it is a big job to do it alone,so one more time I encourage everyone to engage in this. It is not hard. But it will make a major difference for those kids.

Winters in Afghanistan are very cold. So imagine, it's -20C outside. How would you feel dressed like that and with bare feet??
Help me to get at least some socks for them.. I am adding as much money as I can towards buying some shoes for them, but it's by far not enough. If anyone would like to help, don't hesitate to contact me. I can give you more information, about how everything will be done and why I am doing this. And I can assure everyone - I am not a fraud in any way. I am a muslim, from UK, I am 23 and I just couldn't live with myself after seeing all this and doing nothing.

They're always hungry, begging, working for food. Aid agencies are trying to help them, but once their money gone trough Afghanistan's corrupted government - there is almost nothing left for the poor. That is way I want to help them, by collecting money donations to feed them. I will not send it trough charity, I'll do it trough family, so that I will know, that donations really reached them. Please, do not ignore them.

This winter we'll all be dressed in nice and warm clothing, with warm gloves and shoes. While they will freeze. Please, people, join me in this mission to help them. If you can knit - make one warm socks, hat or gloves and post it to me. I will be sending all collected items to Afghanistan before winter, where my relatives will distribute them to poor children.

On the social networks, we all keep talking, why other people are watching the poor and do nothing to help them. Ask yourself, Just how better then them are we? We can all type a comment: InshAllah, someone will help them. Well, don't just wish well, but take some action!
