Jason Cobb speaking on "QS Annual Reporting".

Better later than never :-) I finally got Jason's meetup video posted.  Slides are separate for now. With luck, in future videos I will combine them.

Pretty consistent on steps...on calories?  Ahhh....not so much.
I've previously looked at the ups and downs of tracking everything in my life, finding that the data helps provide a little guidance but is certainly nothing to live by. What I couldn't tell, however, is how accurate that data actually was. Rachel Feltman, writer for Quartz, decided to wear four fitness trackers at once to find out.

I made it last night.  It was indeed yummy!  Not exactly a blueberry muffin, but more like a blueberry soufflé.  Still delish and I added a wee bit of heavy cream on top. I think cream makes most deserts better :-)

Here's an interesting one! I'd think interfacing to a smart phone would be the next option!

I suppose it makes sense to incorporate everything as long as you're going to wear it!?

The big fish swallow the smaller ones....they sent out an email today to customers. Industry consolidation already!
Intel has won the Basis auction, we're hearing, at a price of around $100 million, according to one source. A second source pegs the deal at closer to $150..

In the "It's Just Wrong" category.  I guess the silver lining is that the market is mature enough that people wanna sue...

And here's Spotfire, another visual/analytics tool.  Spotfire and Tableau compete quite a bit for the business market.
