Instructional Designer/Trainer:

Calling all Instructional Designers! We are reaching out to you to see if you would be interested in serving with Wycliffe Associates in a very important role. As you know, we are working to see a Bible translation in all the remaining languages of the world by 2025. To do this, we are creating new and innovative ways to help and train mother-tongue translators. The number of translators we have is growing day by day, and we seek more instructional designers who can help us equip them.

We are seeking Instructional Designers that can create clear instructions for the Mother Tongue Translators so they can use our resources to help them with translation. You will work in collaboration with the Training Department and other Wycliffe Associates divisions as well as Partner Organizations to identify, develop, and implement various medias used in training. Some of your tasks will include:

1. Work with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and develop solutions to achieve measurable outcomes.
2. Adapt content provided by subject matter experts for delivery in a variety of media and according to the end user's needs. (This can include online training to better serve the end user.)
3. Design, develop, deliver, and maintain course curriculum and related materials.
4. Research new technology applications as it relates to delivering web accessible training.
5. Build and maintain effective working relationships by communicating with the SME to discuss any unclear points.
6. Provide a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the instruction as a word-processed document or the online interface.
7. Develop scripted material for the Web and other communication devices.

The skills we are seeking include:

1. BA or BS degree or equivalent job knowledge.
2. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, multi-media authoring tools (Adobe Captivate), social networking tools, and learning management systems.
3. Experience creating training content within a Learning Management System, preferably Moodle.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging instructional technologies and design.
5. Ability to work independently and as a team to accomplish goals.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form to a variety of learners.

The Arkansas Department of Career Education is hiring an ACE Program Advisor! Starting salary is $50,222. The Program Advisor will serve two major functions: 1) as a master teacher/curriculum professional, and provide mentoring, coaching, and ongoing support to adult education instructors across the state, and 2) will provide technical assistance and program monitoring to adult education programs and literacy councils in an Arkansas region through annual site visits, program reviews, and desk audits.

My name is Teresa Theiling and I am a member of the IDT Master's 2018 cohort and I am currently living in Memphis, TN. I was born in raised Matthews, NC and attend Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I studied Physical Education and Health Education and started my teaching career after graduation in January 2014. I spent most of my time teaching high school science at Watauga High School. During that time, I was also able to coach student athletes in cheerleading, women's lacrosse and women's soccer. In September of 2017, I decided to pursue a career working for Kappa Delta Sorority and focus on my personal and professional growth. I work with 34 collegiate chapters and advise their chapter operations and work with chapter leadership daily. I enjoy traveling to new places, drinking a great cup of coffee and spending time with my pup, Bandit!
