Checking i from Hazleton. Any other local travelers on the road?

This has been mentioned on Reddit before but I don't see it here. Grant Park/Firstside Park downtown is a spot with 5 stops within 25 yards, free parking, benches, tables, and shade. Lures often deployed there and PoGo traffic at all hours.

I visited Twin Lakes in Greensburg, Pennsylvania this week and was pleased to find a ton of pokestops and gyms. Here's a picture of just one area of one of the two lakes. The land bridge photographed is the strip of green heading off the right of the screen in the in-game screenshot. It's quite scenic, with a good number of walkers and a mix of shady and open areas.

Downtown Greensburg is another hotspot, filled with gyms and pokestops. Wide sidewalks and a couple of tasty diners make it my preferred stroll for pokeball filled lunch breaks. The dark green rectangle on the screenshot is Westmoreland county's capitol building, which is all peeking out from behind a tree in the photo.

I will be moving back to Pa (Reading) at the end of July. Anyone playing in that area?

Hi friends,

2 days out of the week I'm in Washington, PA and I definitely get to make some serious progress. The area near Washington and Jefferson University has a fair few pokestops and 6 gyms within 10 or so blocks.

The Valor gym in the distance with the Vaporeon is Old Main, a very scenic building, with nice lawns and little traffic. A few minutes after taking these screenshots a group of people put up lures and were happy to have me join in under some nice shady trees. There's spacious, metered parking along one-way streets.

The line of gyms in the second picture is a little more of the 'downtown' area so it's probably more suited to walking through, rather than sitting for some time, though I've found at least two tasty diners.

I've added the Silph Road PA Guides as moderators and am now sharing our burgeoning community with some local friends. My number 1 goal of maintaining trainer safety still applies regardless of the presence of trading, so feel free to invite any others that will be mindful of others' wellbeing to join us and all the fun. I've got no problem using this group to chat about good places to use your lures, organize gym defense, etc. as long as we're still prioritizing doing so without jeopardizing anyone's health. Good luck out there friends!

Nothing goes here until the Road as a whole starts marking waypoints.

Here's gonna be my favorite place I'm thinking. Caledonia state park. I'm always up there cause there's lots of stuff to do. Trails, playgrounds for kids, creeks and a lake. I'm actually going there for a picnic like I do a lot of Sundays. I'm hoping that there's some good spawning points for Pokemon when it's finally released but there's no way of knowing yet since I don't have beta. There's a nice description of the park if you want to check out the website
