The Office of eLearning is working with SETDA and other states to create a website/toolkit on how to make the digital instructional material shift. The site will discuss all stages from planning to implementation and evaluating. As part of the site, we are trying to provide examples/scenarios and are looking for the following: examples of schools or districts shifting their budgets to support the shift to digital (devices, instructional materials, etc).

If your district has a creative example of how you have shifted your budget to support going digital please share below or email me @ myowell@danville.k12.in.us. Thank you!

Kicking off the New Year and our 1:1 to Digital Learning Initiative at South Putnam with a visit from Matt Miller @jmattmiller author of Ditch That Textbook #ditchbook.  Our teachers related well to Matt as a fellow Indiana educator and creative, yet practical teacher who shared out strategies and tools for empowering student learning.

Make sure to visit our webpage http://www.doe.in.gov/elearning where you'll find a holiday message from the Office of eLearning Team! #INeLearn

Our district is looking at curriculum mapping programs. We currently use Rubicon Atlas. Atlas is a curriculum mapping tool - an online portal that provides the IN state standards and allows us to map and store all district curriculum. Our SIS doesn't have a curriculum component and I've not found many other options. If you are using an online curriculum mapping tool, please let me know the name and how well your teachers like it. Thanks!
