IT’S AMERICA’S NUMBER #1 ENEMY THAT DECIDED THAT IT’S ABOUT MONEY AND RATINGS, AND NO LONGER THE ‘NEWS!’

Let me see if I got this right! Trump was elected to drain the 'Swamp.' Public Enemy 'Number 1,' the 'Deep State' run Mainstream Media takes a day to protest the President by weaponizing their editorial pages to defend their protected sources whose security clearances are now finally being pulled because they’ve betrayed the trust and ‘will’ of the American people, and on top of that, it’s President Trump’s fault? Interesting!

The ‘Deep State’ ‘Paid to Report Mainstream Media a long time ago decided to change their mission statement and responsibility. The media is sometimes called the "fourth estate" of American government. In a democracy, where the people choose their representatives supposedly based on their positions on important issues, the media has the responsibility of providing people with the information they need to make informed decisions. This is why the free press is protected by the First Amendment!

BUT:

“Edward R. Murrow warned us in 1964 that when news divisions decide that the news has to make money, and has to get ratings, it’s no longer news—it’s entertainment. So, if people are bothered by the fact that we seem to be having entertainment as news, it’s because the news divisions decided that money and ratings were more important than reporting.”

‘THE MEDIA HAS CREATED PERCEPTION THAT THE AMERICAN VOTERS WILL DECIDE THE NOMINATION”

When I speak of an utter disconnect with the American people, people like Curly Haugland, member of the RNC Rules Committee, make my point undeniable true.

In an interview given earlier today on CNBC, he said, "The media has created a perception that the voters will decide the nomination and that's the conflict here."

"Political parties choose their nominee, not the general public contrary to popular belief," he went on to say.

**ARE THE DELEGATES THAT REPRESENT YOUR TRUMP VOTE A TRUMP DELEGATE, OR A ROGUE LOYAL REPUBLICAN DELEGATE WHO WILL DO WHAT THE PARTY TELLS HIM TO DO????**

YOUR VOTE GOES TO A REPUBLICAN DELEGATE WHO GOES TO THE CONVENTION TO REPRESENT THE ‘WILL’ OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLES VOTER SELECTION, BUT WHERE IS THAT DELEGATES’S LOYALTY? IS IT TO THE PARTY, OR TO THE WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO VOTED THEM TO REPRESENT THEM, OR TO THE ‘WILL’ AND LOYALTY TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, AND IF THAT ‘WILL’ IS FOR TRUMP, WILL THAT DELEGATE STAY LOYAL TO THE PEOPLE, OR THE PARTY’S PREDESIGNATED CHOICE!!!!

The host of the show asked, "Then why bother holding the primaries?"

"That's a very good question," Haugland replied.

Enter Donald Trump - the people's response to this insanity.

WE ARE PAYING FOR BOTH PARTY’S CAMPAIGNS AND HAVE ‘NO’ SAY ABOUT WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO!!

Although most campaign spending is privately financed, public financing is available for qualifying candidates for President of the United States during both the primaries and the general election. Eligibility requirements must be fulfilled to qualify for a government subsidy, and those that do accept government funding are usually subject to spending limits on money.

I would love, like my parents did growing up, to continue to walk to the corner store every Sunday to pick up the Sunday Edition of the ‘New York Times’ so that my parents could do what they always did, make a big pot of coffee, lay the paper out on the floor and dissect the paper’s every section that ended up with them doing the Sunday Crossword Puzzle, and doing it in Pen!

“Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end,” but they have big time, and the ‘New York Times’ has gone by the way of profit and ratings just as Edward R. Murrow said back in 1964 when I was entering Junior High School back in New Jersey in good old GR…..
