The European search engine #Unbubble now supports English and 5 other languages. It's a meta-search engine ranking its 20 sources by neutrality. Thus it would be impossible for a single search provider to filter or manipulate the results.

Is The PPC Long-Tail Dead?

A massive 14.4% of Australian search queries in Feb 2014 were phrases of at least 4 words. That's a lot of long-tail to target!

Despite Search Queries Apparently Getting Shorter http://ow.ly/vxYN1 There's Still Huge Potential for Long-Tail PPC http://ow.ly/vxYJh.

Poor, poor Yahoo. Ya get no love...
Yahoo’s share of the search market has declined for six consecutive months, leaving them in a battle with Ask.com, AOL and even Squidoo.

QUESTION: Any idea why a webpage ranks for a search term that is nowhere on that page or in the code? The site used to have a page for the term, but that was two years ago and all references to it have since been removed. I get the homepage when I search for the term using the site's own search (which is powered by Google) and also when I do a search for that term on Google itself. Could a wayward 301 be responsible? Any help would be appreciated.

Social media marketing is quickly becoming the giant gorilla in the online marketing landscape. The fact is most of your customers are engaged in social media, so it behooves you to have a social media presence. Being the giant gorilla means that it can often be very difficult to manage all of your social media.

I'm interested in opinions on where sitewide links are still legitimate to use. I believe they are still OK for web design agencies but are they common anywhere else?

Surfacing your business's contact and local info in Google

In the article below Google talks about Nest Labs. I did a search, see their toll free number, but can't click on it to dial from my mobile device.

Is anybody else experiencing the same issue?

Isn't Google Now Search on Android missing out?
IMO it misses big on searching the local device. e.g., full-text search over PDFs, Office, and other files people have on their mobile.
I developed an app, AndroSearch, to fill this gap. Are you missing this functionality like I do? Or do you think many others are?

I'm pasting a link to Google Play, if you want to learn more/install.

I'm seeing the text from community posts showing up in the regular Google serps. But the link just goes to the community page, not the specific post where the text appears. What good is that?

When I saw this, I tried a few searches and it made an error with some of the content - flicking to 'private' too, even when I had it set to 'public'. Must be a few bugs they didn't expect I guess.

Hello guys, I think I'm not at the right community but I need some help if you could help me. I was trying to find out info and couldn't. This is the question. Is there a 3rd party software or program that can be installed on my website and visitors can search in my database? Something like FAQ database. For example a visitors types in the search bar: "what is a car?" and the search engine to pull out of my database the answer to this question and display it... If anybody can help would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

+Radu D. Bogdan Not sure I understand what you're after. You mean you want a search engine outside your website but that it checks only your pages? That's called 'site' search "site:domainname.com keyword phrase",
