Help translating the documentation and interface of SCP

The documentation and the interface of SCP can be easily translated to your language, and your contribution is fundamental!

The translation is performed through an online application that displays every sentence in the original English version, and a text editor allows for the translation to your language. This should make the translation process very rapid and easy.

Please, follow these steps to start translating:

1. Go to the page https://www.transifex.com/semi-automatic-classification/semi-automatic-classification-plugin-manual and click the button Help translate. You can sign in using your Google or Facebook account, or with a free registration

2. Select your language and click the button Join team. If your language is not listed, click the button Request language

3. There are several files to be translated, which refer to the sections of the SCP documentation. To translate the SCP interface you should select the file semiautomaticclassificationplugin.ts

Before translating, please read this document from the QGIS translation guide, which helps you understand the reStructuredText.

Your work will be very appreciated, and the translation will be published online. For instance see the translations to Spanish http://semiautomaticclassificationmanual-v5.readthedocs.io/es/latest/ and Portuguese http://semiautomaticclassificationmanual-v5.readthedocs.io/pt_BR/latest/ .

Thank you very much for your contribution,
Luca

Hi Luca and all,
I have just used the Accuracy tool following this tutorial https://fromgistors.blogspot.com/2014/09/accuracy-assessment-using-random-points.html
I was wondering if it is still possible to plot the error matrix in the current stable version of the plugin.
Thank you!
This post is a brief tutorial about how to perform the accuracy assessment of a land cover classification using the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin (SCP) for QGIS. In particular, we are going to create ROIs using random...

Hi Luca and all,

is it possible to use the plugin to conduct an untrained classification, rather than using ROIs?

Many thanks,
James

Questions  -

Good morning, Luca.
I noticed a possible error in <Band calc>.
Description:
RS calculation:
Where in the image, the SR_1.tif layer was calculated in <Band calc>, and the RS_CalculatorRaster layer was calculated with the <Raster Calculator> of Qgis.

In the calculation of Band Set the maximum and minimum values are identical, however, when I check the individual values of the pixels, directly in the raster, the values are different.
The raster result of the SR calculation is totally black.

In the calculation of the NDVI, a difference in the maximum and minimum values of the pixels is noticed. The values of the individual pixels are also different, the mean, the standard deviation, all different when comparing the results between the <Band set> and <Raster calculator>.
However, in the NDVI calculation, it is generated raster with normal appearance.
The SR calculation, the generated raster, is all black.

The raster ID is: LANDSAT_SCENE_ID = "LT52320661998198CUB03"

Congratulation!

Hello +Samir Rural, thank you for reporting this.
The fact that the raster is black should be only related to the style single band gray.
You should be able to assign a style to the raster. Pixel values should be the same as the raster calculator. See for instance this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8ulRtzLjgk

Hello, I have a problem regarding ROI creation of the SCP Plugin. Whenever I try to add the ROI, python error message will come up.

File "C:/users/...../.qgis2/python/plugins\SemiAutonaticClassificationPlugin\core\utils.py", line 1644, in calculateSignature ROIsize = cfg.utls.getROISize (bX, 1 rStat(0), rStat(1))

File "C:/users/...../.qgis2/python/plugins\SemiAutonaticClassificationPlugin\core\utils.py", line 4920, in getROIsize s = ( ( a >= min) & (a <=max) ).sum()

FloatingPointError: invalid value encountered greater_equal

What does this mean? I kept uninstalling and re-install the software and plugin and the results still like this. Please help.

+Nur Farhanah Mohamed Ariff thank you. I think it is an issue related to your system. You can try to install QGIS and the plugin following this guide semiautomaticclassificationmanual-v5.readthedocs.io - 2. Plugin Installation — Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin 5.3.0.1 documentation .
Also, you can try to disable your antivirus during installation

Dear Luca

First of all I want to thank you for your great job with this fantastic SCP tool!

I´m sending this message in order to ask you why I can´t find S2 images for December 2016, I have been downloading S2 images since April until November 2016, and when I try to download S2 images from December any images appears in the SCP search tool. I know that these images exists and are available for downloading through the Sentinels Scientific Data Hub. Can you give me some clues about what's happening?

Thank you very much and I wish you all the best for 2017!

Best regards
Sérgio Godinho

About this community

This community is for discussing about the Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin #SCP for #QGIS. It is possible to share your work, ask for information and help. _______________ The Semi-Automatic Classification Plugin is a free plugin that allows for the semi-automatic supervised classification of remote sensing images, providing tools to expedite the creation of ROIs, the pre processing phases (image clipping, Landsat conversion to reflectance), the land cover classification process, and the post processing phases (accuracy assessment, land cover change).

Problem with login

Hi Luca, I was working with my colleague and he registered on Sentinel data hub. We can login and log out without any problems.

When we tried to download Sentinel images he got a window that it can log in. Can you give some suggestion?

Best Regards,

Questions  -

Dear Luca and all the community,

I'm working with Landsat 8.

I would like to classify a cover using a spectral signature file from ASTER Spectral Library. So, my idea is not to create a ROI to define this category, but to use the information from ASTER.

I download the file with the signature, and I configure the SCP band set with the bands previously corrected.

The problem appears when loading the signature file to the SCP. The values from the wavelength graphic are not the same as the original one in the aster website, so the classification fails. I think I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what.

Do you have any idea? I have search for a tutorial about how to use a spectral library file, but I couldn't find anyone.

Thank's in advance.

Dear All,

I'm trying to plot spectral signature and I'm facing a problem which I don't get.
I've stacked 10 Bands of Sentinel image and whenever I try to plot spectral signature, the lines gather on a single band as you can see in the image. Why would it be?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Regards.

Dear All,

I encounter with a problem when I tried to stack my Sentinel-2a bands.
I've extracted some indices like NDVI, MSAVI, PSSR and some others to stack together with original 10bands of Sentinel.
There's no problem with old school indices; NDVI, SAVI, MSAVI etc. But when I get my stacked bands, I can't see PSSR and some other newly released Sentinel-2a indices. Bands without stacked are seem to be pretty, but when I stack them there's no value after all..
Am I doing something wrong?

Sincerely yours
