cosplay of some awesome art chess piece

The mane was temporarily made by masking tape,
but I thought "without mane" look better for android mini.

The patterns on body and head were drawn by free-hand.
It may not good for some people who like symmetrical.

EDITED Apr 16
I used Thinner ! , sorry for my poor English.
*

risky Alchemy experiment

I'm just a fan of Manga/Anime  FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST.
I did a risky but easy experiment.

Preparation
: Gold S4
: Solvent for Lacquer paint
:  large Solvent bottle

Procedure
1: put Gold into the bottle
2: pour the solvent
3: shake gently for few minutes

Wow!  it's Silver !

, but still some part of the arms are still a little Gold..
I tried to wipe it
with the supply of tissues being soaked with a solvent.
Oh Oh,
Gold is removed, but Silver gone at the same time !!!
The dark yellow plastic came out!

The experiment ended in failure.................................

I think I must spray CLEAR on it to protect the silver layer...

NO WARRANTY
This is just a memo of my hobby.
If you'll do as I did, do everything by your own responsibility.

Not that this is a better pic.. poor lighting still but this one shows the wings I pulled off some metal butterflies and then I airbrushed them to incorporate them onto the 6 little androids you see in the pic... These will be for the series I am doing with the INCREDIBLE +Tasha Zimich for +Vinyl Riot :) (nooooooooo sleeeeeeep for meeeeeeeeeee!!!!)

Derivative work

Android Mini, designed by +Andrew Bell,  is a derivative work for the original illustration of Google designed by Irina Blok.
Ref:
https://plus.google.com/+DanMorrill/posts/WrBh6fsChfH
http://www.irinablok.com/android

Each of Customs is a derivative work for Android Mini.

In the comment on
https://plus.google.com/+KristianBell/posts/PsEqUiQTn8h
, Andrew said "Derivative work is always a grey area".

When I made mushi:ohm and showed it to public, some people cried "What did you do for my dear android!!?". The "buggy" stile might attack their mind, even if its popular name is bugdroid. :-)  On the other hand, people who know "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" by Hayao Miyazaki  gave me their prizes. So it is black for some, white to others. I bought a plastic scale model kit of Ohm and used many parts of it. The copyright holder may not think pleasantly on such a usage of ther licenced products. So it is grey. :-)

Here, I want to introduce my firiend +Deth Becomes You.
Oh! You already know! :-)
His works are very original/artistic.

When I saw his works on G+, I was super surprised on  its bloody expression. My friends in Japan, too. But, I know US poeple like Zombie much. So, I think, Any Japanse company may not allow him to use their mascot characters in his works. :-)

When he and I traded customs each other,
I asked him
    "curious and pretty",
Not { "grotesque" or "bloody splatter" or "horrific" },
but still in Deth Becomes You's stile,
for my family not to be fainted
Wow!  Sin-chan andy !
A W E S O M E !!

+Hitoshi Mitani  so.....not sure what went wrong.. I used thinner that usually goes well with mr.hobby paint.

1.For some reason, the head seems to be easier to thin, I soaked the head into a jar of thinner for 10 mins.  Nothing happened during the first 5 mins, while occasionally shaking/stirring it, then again, the front part didn't fade too well... even one of the antenna isn't thinning at all.

2.Desperate, I tried thinning the antenna with tissue @.@ and for whatever reason, the silver/chrome layer was taken off. Funnily though, the other antenna won't even budge or lose it color eventhough I tried to wipe it with tissue/using the same method as the other antenna.

3.The body.....is weird...soaked it for around 15 mins inside a zip it bag with thinner and only parts of it is thinned away. yes, I do shake/stir it but it only seems to be worse...since the layer thinned seems to form a rough-like metal dust and sticking randomly..

4.so, failed attempt..and I'll just sand it tomorrow for my new custom test. Fortunately , I got two of this gold droid ._.

By the way, I also tried using brush to mildly remove the paint...but doesn't seem to work... definitely a good paint. >.>

also,  the hand seems to be unremovable...and for anyone that plans to attempt to thin this... don't let the thinner get into the inner part... it's "melt" the droid from the inside..
