Attention #Developers! Muse #SDK for #Android Released!

We've just released a major update to the Muse SDK: a native Muse library for Android, LibMuse.

For all the details Click here! www.eepurl.com/bdaHwv

Now you can connect directly to Muse via Bluetooth on your Android device and obtain raw EEG data, relative and absolute band powers, blinks, jaw clenches, and much more right in your custom application.

If you've been waiting to build an all-in-one Muse app on Android, or to integrate Muse with your existing Android app, now you can.

Whoa.
Researchers from the University of Washington showed that they could send one person's thoughts through a computer to control the hand motion of a person sitting half a mile away.

But the cumbersome experimental setup won’t replace Facebook's Messenger app anytime soon.

Ian Burkhart, a 23-year-old quadriplegic from Dublin, Ohio, is the first patient to use Neurobridge, an electronic neural bypass for spinal cord injuries that reconnects the brain directly to muscles, allowing voluntary and functional control of a paralyzed limb. Burkhart is the first of a potential five participants in a clinical study. Read more: http://ow.ly/ywvIe

Scientists have finally found the neurological difference between fantasy and reality - it turns out that information flows through our brains in opposite directions when we’re imagining something compared to really doing it.

I wonder if this "Neurobridge" (manufactured by Battelle)" is based on this Neuro-Bridge patent http://www.google.com/patents/US8744588 ?  Are they the same or are they only sharing the same name ?

Thank you +Lourenço Castro and  +Andrea Graziano I think along these lines too, for wearable tech. It should augment the person in a manner that it supports what they do and enhances it. Rather than  a limitation this chef is enabled by his prosthesis. He can open a pot lid and not be burned by the steam That must be handy and helps with the rhythm and flow whilst cooking as well.

The downside I see to many of these marvels is, few will be able to afford  them. As creators and designers, I think our challenge is to not only get swept away with the excitement of what we can create with the tech of the day but also to address the needs of many .. designing for everyone. We can do both; the latest gee whiz design, and also basic functional cost effective design where sometimes even greater challenges exist.
