Hello, Is auto focus working in the latest Android Things Developer Preview (6.1) on NXP IMX7D? I've tried many configuration in CaptureRequest.Builder but still doesn't have any luck. Currently, I can display a camera preview on a SurfaceView and AE and white balance seem to be ok. Thank you.

hello,
My device is IMX7D_PICO,I tride run the TensorFlow sample(https://github.com/androidthings/sample-tensorflow-imageclassifier).

Run on the command line “gradlew installDebug”
and it shows:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Could not resolve all dependencies for configuration ':app:debugCompileClasspath'.

Hi Friends,
I used IMX7D_PICO device. Yesterday I tried this blink example from this repo(https://github.com/androidthings/sample-simplepio)

But today when i try to re-run the same example i am getting following error

"Error on PeripheralIO API
com.google.android.things.pio.PioException: android.os.ServiceSpecificException: GPIO2_IO02 is already in use (code 16)
at com.google.android.things.pio.GpioImpl.<init>(GpioImpl.java:53)"

But when I tried to change the (com/example/androidthings/simplepio/BoardDefaults.java) as shown below the blink example starts working
From :
case DEVICE_IMX7D_PICO:
return "GPIO2_IO02";
To :
case DEVICE_IMX7D_PICO:
return "GPIO2_IO01";

I like to know the reason for the above-mentioned error (why GPIO2_IO02 is not working).
Kindly help me on this.

I have a large Android Things app that I'm developing for the for RPI3. The application Theme is 'android:style/Theme.Holo.Light'. Most of my windows (but not all) have a background shade of 'light blue' if I change the theme to 'android:style/Theme.Material.Light' the same windows all have a white background. This might have started with AndroidThings 0.5.1 but is definitely in 0.6. It was not in any 0.4 versions of AndroidThings.

I have tried setting the backgrounds in the layouts to white with no effect. Does anyone have an idea as to what setting might be causing this to happen.

What's the plan to transition current libiota Weave devices to Nest Weave?

There's not much info on the Nest side on how the announced integration is working out and it seems like Nest Weave is currently very different to libiota.

On the IOT console all my OEM devices (WeMo, TP-Link...) are still running with Weave so I'm curious to know if support is going to go away soon.

I was actually able to register a new device a few weeks ago with libiota.

Should anyone using libiota already be thinking about Smart Home given that libiota is deprecated and it's currently not possible to transition to Nest Weave seamlessly?

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me STEPS, how to start learning and developing IOT for beginners to advance?
*I have knowledge in developing android apps.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

I got an Pico i.MX7 at GDD Shanghai 2017 event.
I am new android things and when I following the tutorial and launch setup-utilities, I have the following error:

target reported max download size of 419430400 bytes
/usr/local/bin/mke2fs failed with status 1
mke2fs failed: 1
error: Cannot generate image for userdata

I use MacOS and it seems a file system error. Can someone tell me what should I do then.

Many thanks

is it possible to open wi-fi settings screen via install app on android things?

I connected my android things (rsp3) with BT speaker and could hear the asistant voice from BT speaker. Sharing the code. There may be more right way.
