Steve Fox is the founder and chief greenskeeper at Urban Putt, the indoor miniature golf course/restaurant/bar in San Francisco. He and his wife, Leslie Crawford, began hosting highly successful miniature golf benefits in their house in 1993, which ultimately led to Fox’s decision to follow his heart and open Urban Putt in May 2014. A long-time publishing professional (before opening Urban Putt), Fox’s previous experience included stints as VP/Editorial Director of PCWorld, Editor in Chief at startup Affinity Labs, Editor in Chief for InfoWorld, Editorial Director of CNET, and Founding Editor of The Web magazine, which launched the popular Webby Awards. Prior to relocating to the West Coast in 1990, Fox worked for Omni magazine as Managing Editor and at Popular Mechanics. A native New Yorker, Fox graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in English.

Tech Girls Maker Camp was super awesome this week! We did everything from the soldering badge, to wearable LED cuff bracelets, to 3D printed bookmarks--and the girls learned all about the coding and programs to make their projects.

There were several amazing marble runs this week.  A lot of trial and error, and a few amazing although unexpected marble movements!

Here is my Makey bike project. It's not yet finished and there is still a lot of work to do on it. I downloaded a bike template and made the frame from that using wooden profiles. I also used toothpicks for the spokes. And some tubing to make the movement work (video)
Things I would do different
Use a brass frame and solder it together. Since the wood isn't strong enough.
