Student Paper Honorable Mention: Hamza Fawzi with the paper "Self-scaled bounds for atomic cone ranks: applications to nonnegative rank and cp-rank," with co-author: Pablo A. Parrilo

We would like to thank three Society Vice-Chairs who will be completing their two-year terms at the conclusion of the INFORMS 2016 annual meeting:

We are currently seeking nominations of candidates for the following positions:

Vice-Chair for Global Optimization
Vice-Chair for Nonlinear Optimization
Vice-Chair for Optimization Under Uncertainty

Self-nominations for all of these positions are encouraged. Vice-Chairs serve a two-year term. According to Society Bylaws,
"The main responsibility of the Vice Chairs will be to help INFORMS Local Organizing committees identify cluster chairs and/or session chairs for the annual meetings. In general, the Vice Chairs shall serve as the point of contact with their sub-disciplines."

Please send your nominations or self-nominations to Burcu B. Keskin (bkeskin@cba.ua.edu), including contact information for the nominee, by June 30, 2016. Online elections will begin in mid-August, with new officers taking up their duties at the conclusion of the 2016 INFORMS annual meeting.
