I am legally blind and have looked for the answer to this question but have not found it. I am new to smartphones (since summer of 2015) and I set my Moto G 3rd Gen up when I recently got it where the internal drive and 32 GB SD card work as one drive. I use things a LOT and like to learn about them and my phone is no different. I am trying to transfer about 6 - 8 GB of files now to my Windows PC (still using Windows 7). It seems all is transferring well via the USB cable but once I have my photos, files, recordings, and videos transferred to my PC and I make sure they work; is it then OK to delete these files from the phone using Windows? I'm still trying to get use to the differences in the filing structures (or determine where what I want is at) between a Windows PC and the Moto G phone. I assume I will have some photos I use for things like pictures for the Phone app I use to see who is calling and ringtones too I will NOT want to delete so I will need to check each file I could not name as the phone saved it to be sure it is not deleting wallpaper, images, etc I use too, right? Is there a safe and faster way for me to do this rather than examine each file? Thanks for any help and my main concern is whether it is OK to delete the transferred files fro the phone using Windows...

Hello boys, i have to use facebook's chat, but i want the minimal impact on cpu, ram and battery for my motog (2nd gen xt1068).
Can you tell me who is cheapest between "folio", "metal", "facebook lite" or "google chrome" with notifics?
Anyone has done some tests on ram usage and power comsumption?

I faced the same the problem on my moto g2 as well
So I kept the messenger app but muted the notification( sound only ) and importantly disabled the pop-up chat thing (it slows the phone down like a tortise) so basically messenger became like whatsapp but faster and finally I Uninstalled the fb app and started using fb lite
Now my phone seems a lot more smooth (at least by 20 percent)

please do not update to Android 6.0 marshmallow update because most of the users are reporting some issues on it.
We have compiled the issue here, so first read them and if you are ok with them the process of the update.
Until Motorola fix it we suggest you not to update to Marshmallow.

It's always the same. As with migration to lollipop, a group of users had many problems and a lot no issues at all and for sure they didn't mention it. So feel free to update, and if you encounter an issue ask yourself if it's your behaviour, or some strange app you installed. I'm sure that it's not a Motorola update problem.
