This issue of the Virtual Education Journal (VEJ) is filled with examples of how educators have created a network of collegial learning communities that together work, learn, have fun, and share best practices to achieve their missions. Highlights from VWBPE17, SLMOOC17, ISTE17, and much more. Check it out and be sure to devour every byte!

Collecting resources addressing the perennial question, "Why are you folks still encouraging others to use Virtual Environments, 3D Synchronous Learning Environments, Immersive Technologies, or whatever you're calling it?" This is one I've shared in other venues but it needs to be near the top of this list. Empathy training? Sports training? What do you have that MUST be on the list of resources? It should be brief, convincing, and to the point. This certainly is: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/2016-08-15/virtual-human-interaction-lab-charlie-rose

Anyone going to ISTE (or staying home for that matter) who wants to be in on the group chat in the walkie-talkie app Voxer, drop me a whazzup here and I'll add you in. Be sure you holler to me in Voxer or respond here with your Voxer id.

A handful of us used the app last summer to stay in touch and it was both fun and helpful in a large conference center to have ready access. We'll be busier than ever this year so it'll be that much more helpful! I'll be setting to walkie-talkie mode when not in presentations and setting my notifications to "Extreme."

I'm smerri9512 on the Voxer.

Cheerio,
Scott
