The Conference will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 135 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, New Jersey.

Join fellow genealogists for the second annual full-day conference of the Family History Group.

Expert speakers Justin Houser, Kirill Chashchin, Shelly Morehead, Gail Hahn, and Michael Andrec will present talks on a variety of topics related to Ukrainian and Eastern European genealogy from the introductory to the advanced. Topics will cover a wide range of time and geography, including deportations of Lemkos from Poland, the US Federal Census, understanding DNA testing, and (for the first time) an in-depth presentation on researching Central and Eastern Ukrainian ancestors!

Russian-Jewish POWs WWI (December, 1914 - March, 1915) - Two files listing over 10,000 Jewish POWs from WWI were found in the Central Zionist Archives. These include Jews from Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Bessarabia and Russia (of today). The lists are from January and February 1915 and mention where these people were from.

Thx adding me :) I m looking for my familly, part of them live somewhere in USA. My gradmother was Ewa. Her sister (Katarzyna,family name Dymytryszyn form Surowica,close Komańcza) used to lived with Her husband in Dudyńce. After Her dead he went to Chicago (?) nad had next family and sons.
Another brother Stefan went to Chechoslovakia ( ab. 1955?) and after somewhere in Ukraine (Zbaraż, Tarnopol).
We still live here, in Rzeszów, Sanok..
