Hello there!
This year's contest has not been a success like the first year (sadly), but there are two entries, so it is officially up.
This was the week intended for peer review, yet the amount of submissions is too little. Therefore hereby I declare that in the next week I'll be reviewing the entries myself, and let you know more about winners and such.
Hopefully there will be more participants next year!
Stay tuned

Heyo!
Deadline is officially passed like 15 hours ago, but due to lack of participation, I decided to extend the deadline as follows. I hope this helps!
I'll also repeat and edit the rules to reshare.

- The contest starts October 15th at 4pm GMT
(6am Hawaai time) and will close the October 22nd, 4pm GMT October 29th, 4pm GMT (6am Hawaai time).
You have 1 week more to work on your game!

- This year I changed the theme, which will be *tales. As the little poem I made is inspired by all the tales we are told as we're young, before bed, but also the scary stories we tend to get frightened by around a campfire in the night. All short stories, bedtime stories and the like are good inspirational content (I'm personally thinking about Sleepy Hollow, for example).

- There's a limit of 3000 words, which is bare game rule text. Additional material (character sheets), credits, and all the like won't count towards this limit.

- Be creative, bring something innovative to the contest. Make it something you didn't prepare beforehand.

- No hacks or additional material* for other games are allowed. It must be a stand-alone game.

- The language of the submission must be English.

The week that follows the contest will be for peer reviewing. This means that you'll vote for other designer's games. This process will be done through Google Modules, so the winner(s) will be immediately declared the day after the peer reviews are done. If you submit your work, you commit to the peer review process, too.

Once you're done with your work, feel free to upload it in PDF format to this google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B33DRSaKGHacXy1OakE1eWczM0U?usp=sharing
Anyone is free to access and upload to the folder anytime, and read other's entries.

Have fun, and good fright... I mean, luck!

No one else planning to enter?

Hello there! It's almost day 2 from the beginning, and some suggestions are already in.
I know the time is not much: I'll extend as I did the last year if I don't see any submissions by the end of the week. This doesn't mean you can stop and wait tho! :P

Well. I dropped off my entry. :)

Heyo there, just a reminder: I didn't forget about you! I just have been super busy and am about to post all the stuff needed to start the contest. I'll extend the deadline appropriately....stay tuned!
(actually, I'm 1 and a half hour late already...)

Hello fellow designers,
Welcome to this year's Spooky RPG contest!
Last year was a blast, and we could witness the creation of some awesome games, so I'm up to run another round of this event.
This year, dates are changed. The contest will run from the 00.00 of the 15th of October (Hawaii time) to 23.59 of the 29th of October (Hawaii time) **

This means 1 week for designing and 1 for reviewing.
Why? I'd really love to make you able to play the games for Halloween's night this year, that's why I'm anticipating.

How does it work?
This year, since the dates are already announced, I will give it a try with ingredients. You'll be given 3 ingredients, at least two of them must be included in your game. The theme is (obviously) always horror-centered. Lets make games about ghosts, monsters, werevolves and/or people that get in contact with dark and fantastic worlds.

I ask you to please stay tuned, further news will be shared pretty soon, in addition to the complete ruling of the contest!
Cheers!

**Hawaii time is -10 UTC
