This is the post which introduced Overlaid Personal Semantic Networks and led to the formation of this community. (Click "originally shared" to get to that post's rich discussion of related software.)
My first blog post is about software for collaborating on complex problems by visualizing the semantic network of a "global brain" -- a graph of everyone's ideas and reasoning involved in the discussion.

Hello again! I have come to give an update on some of the projects I am working on. (I see I shared Ceptr with you about 8 months ago)

Since then, Ceptr has been broken down into smaller parts that are more digestible and manageable to accomplish as a first step. (towards the full Ceptr vision)

These parts are: Holo, which is built on top of Holochain. (You can find out much more about these technologies, and subscribe to get further updates, at the link shared within this post) Holo+Holochain are infrastructure for developing and hosting distributed peer-to-peer applications. (Putting our personal data in our own hands, and within the commons of our communities)

Once this infrastructure is rolled out, I am excited to work towards creating distributed/federated applications for Overlaid Personal Semantic Networks (OPSN's) on top of it.

I'm currently trying to figure how the Semantic Web would be deployed using #IPFS identifiers instead of #HTTP   #URI . As I understand it, IPFS keys identify immutable files, including versioning etc ... which is great for semantic persistence.
But in the Semantic Web based on HTTP and URIs, the latter can identify things-in-the world, concepts in vocabularies etc. I fail to figure how this would work in the IPFS architecture. In other words, how does IPFS handle the httpRange-14 issue?

An experiment of sorts:

I'm trying out Debategraph as a way to create and share PSN, and got the idea of opening it up to sort of way to simulate a proto-OPSN scheme to see how a graph-based system might work as a crude first-approximation of an OPSN scheme.

There's some explanation in the graph itself under the root node. We can use the node labeled CSN build up a SN on OPSN together. You can also create a node for your own PSN to use as you'd like.

You can also just observe how it all goes.

Bruce, you once mentioned that one Minecraft video. Is it this one, perhaps?

Very different from my idea, of course, but OTOH very aesthetic. I like fractals. Made with gource. Will have to check the software. Not much development since 2014, it seems.
