I purchased this application and when it works, it's second to none. But, the application freezes up and requires me to uninstall it and reinstall it in order for the application to be usable again. I've gone through this process numerous times. I'm using it on my LG G 4, which is in excellent working order. My phone was purchased new approximately one year ago.
If the developers or other user's have any suggestions, I'd like to hear from you.

Not yet buy. Still figuring out. Should i use standardized microphone (recording device)?

Because each microphone have a different response in recording sound frequencies.

And my built in phone microphone probably not the best device for recording broad frequency sound.

First time I heard about a neutral/standardized mic. I guess time to buy one and re-profile all my headphones again. 😀
Any suggestion which brand to buy?

I just updated the app and I ran into a problem right away. It seems that the app is stuck on the Equalizer page (first pic) , I can't change the page at all and the presets won't change the EQ visually or sound wise (pic 2 and 3). However the app will turn on and it will work.

I'm running Android 4.4.2

Hi Dominik, the premium contents of Headphones Equalizer are a one-time in app purchase. It means that you have to pay it once for unlocking it, even on multiple devices (same account of course) or if you uninstall and reinstall it later. Thanks!

Sometimes the equalizer stop functioning. I mean visually it looks like working but the audio output is the same as if I turn off the Headphone Equalizer. I have to turn it off and on again to make it work. I am using. Asus ZenFone 2 with marshmallow.

Hi Adhimas, unluckily not all devices are compatible with the system wide equalization. Have you tried with the compatibility fixes in the settings?

I am starting to understand and enjoy using the Headphones Equalizer. However the one bug that I had already reported seems unfixed. That is on Asus ZenFone 2 with default font at normal font size the notification is cropped.

I don't understand. Now the notification look normal. No cropped text.

Can someone please give me the run down to tune my beats headset without any outside effect on the outcome? Or basically whats the ultimate tuning process.
Ie - Would attaching a micro attachment to my phone allow a more precise tune outcome.?.

Thanks

Hi, please note that this app does not work on Asus fonepad 8 when attaching an headset or an headphone. Could you please explain an hopefully solve as I would be willing to buy the full version once the matter is solved. Beside I still have to rate the app. Thank you.

Thanks for the update! Is there anyway we can rate and comment on uploaded profiles? That would be great to get feedback for anything we can improve on with what we upload and maybe even learn a little in the process. Thanks. 😀

So I found this app when randomly searching for a community dealing with headphones. Then I bitched about it and got put in my place. 😁 I gave it a shot because I've been looking for something for non rooted users. So far every eq app I've used does the same thing. It puts a skin over androids crappy sounding built in eq and makes your volume plummet. Even though this app is using the same eq it's headphone profile feature makes a huge difference in clarity. The ability to download user profiles is awesome. As well as the built in music player to control your music outside of the app and get info on the artist. The biggest improvement I have gotten from the audio with this app is the removal of fatiguing frequencies. Some things I think this app can use are reverb options, stability fixes, a more extensive player with artwork and more controls. The app cuts out and restarts on my phone after enabling the stability fix in the settings that restarts the eq when it kicks out. It would be nice if that could work better because it happens during the time when listening to a song and makes me jump like a b*tch! 😭 I'm using this app with my ausdom m08 Bluetooth headphones(which I really recommend for people on a budget). I haven't tried this on any of my old crappy headphones to see what it does there. I won't say this even comes close to viper4android but it doesn't require root and is the best sounding eq app I've used. I'd love to see what this dev is capable of with the limits of androids eq. After using this I had to hand back some feedback. When I get some time I will be showing this on my youtube channel.

The new update (2.0.7) now affected the music, however it wouldn't allow me to change the genre presets and none of the side menu would select.
I uninstalled and deleted a headphones equalizer folder.
I reinstalled and the app wouldn't affect the music and touching on the ui would not affect what was displayed, however pressing on the equalizer power/activation button would turn on and off the notification.
I force closed the app and cleared the data.
Upon re-launching I got the tutorial popups and all of the interface was working however now the equalizer wasn't affecting the music.

+ManyThingsDev  Looks like the equalizer is now working with stock 6.0.1 android (Nexus 5X)... Nevermind, I restarted, tried calibrating and it's no longer working

Any idea why every time I plug in my earphone, apps will not start automatically? Or when I start my Google music player, headphones equalizer will not start also. I have to start it manually. Then what is the purpose of having the options checked in the apps setting?

I was trying so hard to like this app because i had paid for it but I never been able to do so.
1. The app can not auto detect headset profile at all. I only have 3 type of headsets: Wireless, wired, and none (phone speaker). For wireless device I think the app should be able to determine a profile from bluetooth device currently in use.
2. In notification bar, the app not displaying the current equalizer profile. Only useless text in caps: "HEADPHONE EQUALIZER".
3. There is no information whatsoever whether I had changed the equalizer or not. E.g. when I set the equalizer to Dance and then change the settings. There is no indication whether this is still the original Dance settings or not.

I discovered that in accessibility hearing option you can change sound Balance. Samsung S6.

My wireless headphone has too much bass (Bluedio T2+). When I add it as new headphone the graphics correctly shows high on low frequency and a drop on high frequency. However, instead of normalizing the situation, Headphone Equalizer accept the values as their NORMAL value and all presets profile are normalized to the values. E.g the already high bass in my headphone will be added with even more bass when I set the profile to Jazz. Making them useless.

Im new to this community and equalizer app. So i will start with, hello fellow music enthusiasts. Just wanted to share my google play review....
Nicely made app developers! Clean, functional and actually works really well with my Beats Solo 2 headset and note 4. Ive spent $ on other equalizers and they failed to even change the level of the tone.... I have paided the cheap $2 for the pro version and lets just finish my review by saying Goldie and Dj Hype have never sounded better!!! (Yes old school dnb is the only way to go) Thats right im talking to all you tech/trance/dancey pop fans out there ;)

Hy i have a question.
After completing the calibration process the pic looks like this.
Is it right that the blue line describes the "perfect linear freq. output"
If so why the programm applys the eq normal as stock instead of using flat?

Thanks in advance b.

Has anybody try creating their headphone profiles with a high quality external microphone instead of using the built-in microphone on their phones?

+Bernhard Za that's just what I've been looking for. A standardized neutral calibration process.
