Hi, i am trying to build twrp for my phone, the blu studio G hd. I built the recovery.img and it boots with fastboot nicely.

But, when i read the log of twrp it displays:

unable to locate storage partition for storing settings file
unable to find partition for path /system
unable to find partition for path /cache

And that seems bad, but dunno whats wrong, maybe some boardconfig flag?

Latest TWRP for i9305 (3.0.2-1) seems not working in restoring nougat's ROM. Is it a known problem? Thanks.

If you want to make a backup from only a certain app and its data, then TWRP is not the right way. Instead you should look for Titanium Backup. Root is required

Guys...! (To Team Win Recovery Project)

I have an idea...
Imagine... If you add a new feature called "Multi ROM" installation in your any next update, it'll be very awesome.

I think it'll be the best update which have you ever made!
Just imagine, how will people react!

Isn't this looks awesome?

I hope you'll read this and add this feature to TWRP recovery. With this feature root users will be able to install 2 or more recovery on their android phone!!!

Please! Add this feature to TWRP for us.

Please, please ,please...

I tried flashing my OnePlus 3 (OP3) with v3.0.2-1, as downloaded from twrp.me, but it would not boot into recovery, no matter what i tried. I got a black screen, and only thing I could do was to reboot by longpressing the powerbutton.

I found the toolkit for OP3 on XDA (v3.7 https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799), and gave it a go - this actually worked. I had i look in the script, and thay did exactly what I tried my self, so I think something is wrong with the image. I decided to do a little more testing. From the toolkit version (which I think is v3.0.2-1.28) I tried to flash the twrp.me file again (even redownloaded, both from the phone and the desktop), and it yielded same result - it would not boot into recovery.

I'm not really sure who the maintainer of the build, on twrp.me, is (Grarak -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-t3401014 ?), or how to report bugs - here, XDA or maybe a github repo?

Ok - I can confirm, that it must be an issue with OOS v4. Just flashed the exact same TWRP image on OOS v3.2.8, and it works.

Hello everyone,

I used the HTC Dev site to unlock the boot loader and my device is still S-ON. I was able to flash TWRP and followed the instructions to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP.

When I boot to recovery, I find that my phone's internal memory is listed as encrypted. However, I cannot find a way to remove the encryption. How do I remove the encryption from my phone? I posted the recovery.log from TWRP to the following address:

http://pastebin.com/kPfynmzP

If someone could assist, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you,

Kevin

Thank you for the response. jcase and others were able to assist me with this. Did exactly what you said though and that allowed me to flash SuperSU.

Thinking about flashing Xposed next.

Again, I greatly appreciate your help.

i was installing recovery, as every time i would restore to stock it would remove any recovery. now that I'm just trying to find a custom rom (and avoiding the stock) then i don't need to keep on flashing recovery.

i will look at a separate backup on pc though, as a decent safety option.

You have been given the same answer for months now, stop Spamming TWRP Community with your begging and pleading for TWRP on your Lemon of a Device.

Asking over and over and over and over again will do nothing but piss off people or get you banned from this Community.

You are presuming the device supports OTG under normal conditions?  Many do NOT, despite what they say.  Work around the problem by writing the files to the root directory of an SD card that you can then insert into the device.  Had one or two very inexpensive Chinese devices that needed this approach.
