Interested in some International Orff-Schulwerk professional development this summer? Consider attending the 20th International Summer “Course of Encounter”
ORFF meets CLASSIC, in Pitra, Slovakia, July 11 - 16, 2017.

This course is open for participants from all over the world, and is taught by experienced international teachers, including Sofia Lopez-Ibor (San Francisco/Madrid), James Harding (San Francisco), Lenka Pospíšilová (Prague), and Janina Rubin (Salzburg). The official teaching language is English.

My school is thinking of doing a spring production around Canada's 150th. We are considering using stories or poems as a script. Any ideas for stories, books, poetry that would work well in a production? We plan on including music, drama, and dance.

An inspirational commentary from choral composer Eric Whitacre... He so clearly and profoundly speaks to the value of music (choral in particular), as a literacy, as a competency (ethical, collaborative community), and as a means for wellness and balance, in school and in life beyond school...

I encourage you to share with your principal - this is powerful music education advocacy!
